BTW, Bafford is not the first mission. It's second mission. ;)
You think you got me, huh?
Well,

they throw you in the deep end in mission 1.
So yes, Bafford is the second mission. It's still okay to call it mission 1. Behold:

This is the first page of the example book. Your book might call this page_1, but I don't, because I'm a programmer.
Never mind that the Bafford files follow the naming format "M2*". That's just to throw you off.

I'm replaying TG at the moment and trying to play each mission without buying any equipment during the mission briefing. I got halfway through Thieves Guild before running out of water arrows.
I'm a greedy bastard and tried to get all the loot. Down in the gambling den you need to douse just about every torch in the place to do that. Maybe I will try again without getting all the loot which means I will only need to douse 2 or 3 torches to get through.

Winter Cat, In Gold you can backstab zombies with your sword, and they'll lie on the ground until you come too close to awaken them. You also can push a lying zombie by throwing some object. In TDP you can't get rid of them this way -- they just stand up immediately.
I didn't know that.
So I lied about the first mission thing but still compare the warehouse mission in T2 to Bafford's. Big difference in difficulty. In fact all the T1 missions are super hard compared to the sequels.

im currently playing Thief 3 since i just got a copy 1 month ago, im right after the clocktower mission,
when garret got framed and is been hunted by those keepers assasins x_x, now i have to head to the keepers library to find a proof of my inocence
i finished playing Thief Gold week ago, wanted to remember old times , and was trying the new missions "thieves guild song of the caverns and mage towers", thieves guild was a bit tricky, i liked those levels and enjoyed playing through bonehoard and haunted cathedral again :cheeky:, i've found some new things in return to the cathedral like wut brother renault says when u take his corpse to the graveyard, since now i can understand english, anywayz it was really cool to play thief again, my old Dark Project copy is messed so i couldnt reinstall thief and play again for 7 years :erg:

Right now I'm going through Flux's T3FM - Cabot on Expert. It's awfully hard to find all the loot :]

I'm playing Assassins in Thief:Gold, probably one of the missions in the game which wasn't ridiculously difficult and the design of it is great.

Bafford mansion is what got me into Thief...I loved how mission 1 was huge. That and the Unwelcome guest was just as difficult if not more so.
