Though Millennium was only good for the first couple of seasons.
I would agree with ypur assessment, that is the reason I only purchased seasons one and two. Well, that, and season three wasn't on sale. :)

Actually, season 3 is much better than season 2. Season 2 was borderline silly at times.

Well, you claim that about pretty much any season of the X-files, yet it was still a highly enjoyable show.
Also, I forgot to recommend the first two seasons of Earth: Final Conflict, as well as Nowhere Man, both antique at this point.

Yeah but we're not talking about the X-Files and its 9 fucking seasons. We're talking about Millennium and its 3. And the middle one is just plain goofy. Enjoyable, but not what I came to Millennium for.
(Though I very much love "The Curse of Frank Black.")

Damn your eyes, now i have to shell out for S03.

Okay. As much as I loved the first two seasons of Fringe it has begun eating itself then crapping itself and eating the crap. Damn. It's still interesting but not in a can't miss what happens next way. It could turn around still. Maybe. My loony tragic Walter has soured and that I hate most. Actually what I hate most is that Scots was right.
The Walking Dead just keeps getting better. The good in the bad and the bad in the good keeps playing out in interesting ways. I thought I would relate most to Rick but it's Daryl. Harsh denouement in the last installment. Lots of reality checks amid the soap opera.
Workaholics is great when I catch it. The campout in the office episode in particular but I figure it will burn out once the characters become parodies of themselves. I hope not.

I have to say, I don't get the adoration that
The Walking Dead is getting from some. It's a pretty good series, but it's also flawed in terms of writing, characterisation and pacing, especially in season 2 so far. They're not doing a very good job of writing the female characters so they resort to boring clichés, and the farm arc was handled badly; they could've shortened it by one, perhaps even two episodes, but instead they kept treading water. The last episode they showed was very good, mind you, and worth the wait.

I like it because of the pragmatism. One thing that always bugs me about zombie films is the way people do stupid stuff. And especially like the exploration of pragmatism (Shane!) vs trust. Yes, Season 2 was slow, but it's still working for me.
Thirith on 11/1/2012 at 12:20
That only works in some scenes, though, as far as I'm concerned. I mean, dangling Glenn down the well? I don't know in what world that is a pragmatic course of action. And I'm fine with some stupid behaviour - after all, I doubt I'd be 100% rational and calm in the face of global annihilation by zombie. It's more that sometimes it's the characters that act stupidly and sometimes it's the writing that seems stupid.

Yeah, the well bit was silly because you could tell what was going to happen. it's like they needed an action/ tense bit in the episode.
