Those people haven't seen Battlestar Galactica.
I just started watching BSG (just finished the miniseries, actually), my friends have said to just skip the last season altogether.

The episodes are still decent as random episodes. So I'd say they're worth watching. They just didn't really plan for the end, painted themselves into some corners, and pulled some hamfisted shit that frankly sucks for tying stuff up. But as long as you aren't prone to nerdrage you can still watch them, lol.

Just started It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I have the DVD sets all ripped to my phone, with plans to watch it during my commute (11 minutes on the subway, each way. Episode a day at 22 minutes.) Only through the first 2 episodes atm.
I'd never watched it before, but I've caught clips a number of times recently, and every time I do I'm impressed - it's just twisted enough to be up my alley.

Dark Shadows on Netflix streaming.

Let me know what you think over the long run with Philadelphia RBJ as I too have seen numerous clips that intrigued me but the sheer heft of episodes that exist now has somewhat put me off.
I'm having a relatively light period with TV shows, which is a welcome change as it's allowed me to get right back into watching a good spread of movies and documentaries again - though I have been watching much of the current season of the Aussie Masterchef with my daughter. :o
Otherwise I'm only watching Breaking Bad season 4. While it is still of a very high quality I'm feeling the pain of having previously watched all the seasons before it in a breathless rush without breaks. The show is capable of these ridiculous builds in tension to become relentless towards the end, but broken up week by week definitely dilutes its power. Glad I'm away for a few weeks as I'll have 4-5 to catch up on in a short sitting and that'll be the majority of the season.
The only other show I've been dipping my toe into is Mad Men. I've sat through 3 seasons and still can't work out if I like it or not. That's probably not a great sign and my waning interest has resulted in me watching less than 3 episodes in 6 months.

People say Lost had a rubbish ending.
Those people haven't seen Battlestar Galactica.
You are wrong. BSG's ending was as perfect as it could've been. The writers may not have had an end game when they started, but when it came to writing season 4 they went back over the show and identified the plot and character threads that they needed to resolve, and did so satisfactorily, and tonally consistent with the rest of the series.
Lost's ending was a saccharine piece of shit where the writers had loaded down their mythology with so much bullshit that they couldn't even begin to tie it together, so they said 'Fuck it!' and made up EVEN MORE BULLSHIT and ended it with
'and they all met up in the afterlife and walked through the gates of heaven together.'There was no 'happy ever after' in BSG. There was 'maybe they'll make a better go of it now than they did before. Probably.'

I'm eight episodes into The Prisoner. It's good stuff. You can see how shows like Lost desperately wanted to be this bizarre/surreal/weird but couldn't pull it off.
I shall have to track down that remake and curse about it when I'm done with the original.

Hey MV, haven't seen you in a while! I just started watching The Prisoner too, but I'm afraid I'm not enjoying it as much as you are. I'm 4 episodes into it, and although I like some parts of it(like the overly-dramatic intro), it's mostly too cheesy to be as entertaining as modern day mystery/thriller-series like Lost.
Also just started watching 30Rock. It's mostly great. :)

30 Rock is all right, but I'm still bitter over it being part of the reason for Studio 60 dying.

Ive recently started watching it after hearing so much good stuff and frankly... Im not sure if I like it. Im almost at the end of season 2, just where he
finds out his cancer shrunk by 80%. There are some good twists and things that keep me interested, particularily about the "business" of meth making and selling, showing how they
slowly go from joe shmoe to kingpins of meth, as well as the occasional McGuyver-esque chemistry moments.
But the other stuff, particularily the "personal lives" subplots just keeps boring me. Like when it was revealed
that the sister is a cleptomaniac and was kind of a "LOOK AT US, A TWIST" that was seemingly dropped and didn't go anywhere. Or the
sons bully issues, the policeguy's "career," and Skylar's (?) pregnancy just seem so... I don't know, mundane, even stereotypical? Its like they just recorded a typical american family with a few quirks doing typical american things; I already have enough of that going in my own family/friends/etc.
It also probably doesn't help that I find all the characters completely unappealing. Skylar (the wife) is just an annoying and controlling bitch (granted
she's pregnant which affects her emotions but still), her sister is equally annoying in a more of an ADD-retard kind of a way, her husband feels like a grown up version of a typical high school full-of-himself douchebag, and even Walt himself, while interesting, is more often than not a total dick, which would be fine if it wasn't for the fact the show tries to make us care about him. The only character I really like is Pinkerman since he's somewhat amiable and goes through the most interesting dillemas in the show.
