A little more challenge? For me hard is a little more challenge, and expert is for masters..lol
I tried it on a few missions to see areas that weren't otherwise accessible like Down in the bone Hoard....it was instant death for me in the new area..lol I hope to master it one day but wow its tough.:thumb::cheeky:
The secret to Expert is PATIENCE. You can avoid most beasties etc. by slowly moving through an area and waiting. If you watch the guard and beasties patrol you can time thier movements.
Just as an example, you can watch a guard or burrick. See which way they turn at the end of thier path. If it is always to the right, then crouch slightly to thier left, get right on thier tail and walk the beat with them. When they turn to come back, just slip around them on the side they don't turn to and continue on your way.
Slow, sneaky, hide, watch. All you need at any level. :D

This is true, although since I like knocking out all enemies in a mission, I find some of Thief 2's levels (Soulforge's Turret Room and the level with the Submarine) to be highly difficult on Expert, as well as the area in Thief 1's Cragscleft where the acolyte and the mage are standing by the altar. I end up exploiting the game engine to get rid of the enemies in these cases.
Blackman is right though, stealth is the way, I can easily finish the games by just hiding and waiting for my opportunity :thumb:

I'm a blacljacker but I do use stealth. I like to wait and watch and time everything. But in Bonehoard for example in the new area on expert I have yet to make it through without dying atleast once. Those traps are so deadly.:thumb::)
