As the title says. You can choose multiple options in the poll.

I'm absolutely in love with deep exploration town/city missions like Alcazar, Mysteries of Tolham and Endless Rain so i would really like to see more of that.

What about the Pagans? We want more Pagan missions, and not all Pagan missions are also Maw mission :p
Glad to see experimental doing well, although sometimes strange to play I very much appreciate new ideas being introduced into a 25 year old game.
Puzzle/Mechanist/Hammerites not doing so well, well we certainly have had a taff load of Mechanist/Hammerite missions over the years so do we need more, I think not, and I'm not a great fan of obtuse puzzles (looking at you GORT :)).
And please no more mountain/outside or even underground mission, do you authors never consider how much time Athalle and I put into making Dromed maps for these things, so yeah please no more. :laff:
Will definitely vote for industrial, am huge fan of missions like Builders Paradise, Into the Odd, Whistling of the Gear, Rocksbough etc

I like large-scale exploration - doesn't matter if it's cities, industrial, ruins, nature or a blend. I just love exploring new FM's when the scale is large.
Puzzles can be okay - but some are over the top hard.
I also have a fondness for the experimental. Fables of the Penitent Thief with its upbeat music and shiftinng colour schemes was hilariously fun.
As for the dislikes: FM's that are "on rails" i.e. too linear. those are hard NO.

This is an interesting thread!
I've always loved large-scale city exploration, e.g. Behind Closed Doors, Rose Garden. These two are among the biggest city FMs I've played and the overall playtime goes probably higher than in any other FM I've played so far. Still, both hold the interest all the way to the end. So, always looking forward to playing well crafted large scale city FMs! I often like large-scale FMs more than small ones, probably because of the urge to explore hidden loot, secrets, new areas and these things are usually to be found more in the large-scale missions.
Mansion with dark/surreal secrets, I'm thinking about Where Old Faces Fade which is The Sword style superb mission. This is just one example FM but I think there are many cool possibilities in this category.
Daylight category: Into the Odd, Alcazar and A Thief's Training. Daylight missions always seem to be fascinating and these three examples are some of my favourite ones in this category. So, it's always nice to see new daylight missions released. More examples: Break From Cragscleft Prison, Tears of Blood and The Broadsword of Sheol have all a short period where player sees the daylight and most of the mission is spent in the underground darkness. This is a nice contrast that enhances the atmosphere/tension.
Factory/Industrial, Whistling of the Gears is one of a kind, at least I haven't played anything like it and it would be cool to see new missions that emphasize factories and industrial areas.
Nature/Mountains/Village, Lone Rock Outpost has mountains and the Outpost is located on top of the mountains (also a daylight FM). I haven't played that many missions that fit in this category and would like to see more FMs that are located in these areas.
Experimental category sounds intriguing because there is the opportunity to create something that haven't maybe been built yet or to build something really odd and Builder forsaken maybe. :thumb:

definitely would love to see a modern Pagan mission with a huge dense forest like the Jaws of Darkness one, more Sealed Quarter type of missions like Lost Among the Forsaken and The Brand, some mansion full of dark secrets similar to Scarlet Cascabel or Where Old Faces Fade atmosphere or with some Into The Odd homage (underground city below the mansion) would be great as well

+1 for thieves highway/rooftop mission

I said yes to almost all, but in truth I'm a bit burned out on colossal city/rooftop maps; I like somewhat more focused efforts. A lot depends on execution of course; a puzzle map can be great, or something out of early Sierra.

Eat the sandwich, can't make another. Gameover (but you won't know about it until you infuriatingly will read walkthrough). Lucas Arts was more humane in this regard :)

My favorite format is shor(er) and sweet(er), not too hard not too easy, no puzzles, no mechanists, outdoor + indoor + a cave or something, short readables, a bit of horror although I don't like horror as such, but it is the Thief universe after all. The one mission that has all that and hence is my gold standard and perfection in my eyes is Eepcat's An Uninvited Guest (2008).
