Am curious if anyone knows what the name of the very first Thief FM that came out was, when it came out, and who made it. I did a search and got hits but they were all for people talking about the first FM they made. Am wondering if I played the very first one. Probably so. Thief The Dark Project came out in 1998 so am guessing that first FM was '98 or '99.
Any ideas?

Gathering at the Bar (1999-06-10) was the first thief fm, but
not the first to be released. (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49748) more on its history here.
thiefmissions is probably a decent starting point for inquiring: (
https://thiefmissions.com/search.cgi?sort=release&search=&release=on) it lists five missions released before GatB, two of which are labelled "Dromed only".
* Down We Go! by Shadow (1999-06-03)
* Guardhouse 1 by Banshee (1999-06-03)
* A Noble Death by Ishy (1999-06-04)
* Poor Lord Bafford by JordanCS (1999-06-04)
* The Deceptive Scepter by Seb (1999-06-05)
there may have been others. if you want to actually research this, i would dig into forum archives (both this forum and others, and wayback machine archives of them when necessary).

Thanks for all of that Vfig. I definitely played Gathering at the Bar a bunch of times. Am adding that back to my replay list. Hadn't thought to look over at the Cheap Thief site. And I downloaded something there recently. Am on a Thief roll again. I keep coming back to this game. :cool:

Bloodstone Prison and Lord Rothchest's Shadow are officially the oldest FM's, both released in 1901 according to Newdarkloader :p

I recently played Lord Edmund Entertains! from around the time of the early FMs and it was highly enjoyable :thumb:
