For "6D" they were talking about player movement through the environment, with an emphasis on vertical. Oh yeah! :thumb:
The devs never called the T1 apebeasts "ratmen". The confused FANS called them ratmen, so I theorize we inspired the devs to make Rat Beasts. :D "Giant rats. Greeeaaat..."

They didn't? Or do you mean talk of the character before the game was released and then they decided to call them ratmen?
Digital Nightfall on 16/3/2009 at 01:15
The term ratmen was only used by fans. They were never called that either in-game or by the developers.

What about that then? Does garrett say that line then, I don't remember. (i know that doesn't say "rat man" but it has "giant rat")

The Rat Beasts are TDS-only, and that line is said by Garrett in the
Sunken Citadel mission, while looking for the Kurshok Crown.
"Ratmen" is purely a fan term. "Rat Beast" is the creature introduced in TDS. Funnily enough, they don't have tails, either.:laff:

Reviewers called them rat men as well. They may have picked this up from fans or vice versa

It's very common, yeah.

However, I guess the designers wanted to reprise the model of TDP.
sNeaksieGarrett on 16/3/2009 at 05:25
Whoa, that thing looks kind of creepy.:o Btw jtr7, you posted it twice.
jtr7 on 16/3/2009 at 05:46
Rat Beasts so nice, I posted them twice. Double deleted. Thanks!

Nope. Popular fan mistake.
