I sure can! Why would Mrs Moira be deserving the money more than any of her servants? Just because shes married to a pirate? I never understood the purpose of that note. Sentimentalities aside, Id rather steel from her than from the bar maid on the Stonemarket streets. Whats she gonna do with the money anyway? Those who already stole from that loony wont hesitate to take away the rest as well. Besides she probably wont find it before any of her staff does. 'I guess its better off with me.'
Oh, and to comment on the topic, this is my favorite mission as well.

It says in your notes that she needs the money to actually live. Without it she cant afford food, I assume. Of course, if live means "live in the lap of luxury so you can afford to pay 500 servants to do your bidding" then I would steal it.

I mean in her condition she will not be helped with been given some amount of money. After all she still has a first class real estate to sell Id say. Should give her way more money. She could make a living by getting a job, be someones servant for a change. She looks quite young to me. Really dont see why she would depend on having just that money. To be put to the Paupers Ward of some Shalebridge Cradle place she wont need it, I guess. Just doesnt make much sense to claim she would need my hard earned loot to 'survive' is all I mean.

Yeah, well the only problem is that she cant get a job, seeing as she went slightly derranged. And of course she has no other money, seeing as her servants stole it all. Its quite sad really, that she loses not only her husband but all her money as well.

I just checked and it says in that message from Robert to Edwina:
Quote:
But fear not, for I have provided for you. The money in the chest will keep you surrounded by servants.
So go figure the meaning of that note you get after reading.

I love that level...loot city!!! :D
On the topic of the Widow, I always take the gold Robert left behind for her. She still owns the place, and if she sold it, she'd still be wealthier than 75 percent of the city.
Whenever I have a moral dilemna in any level of Thief, I just think to myself: "What would Garrett DO?"
You know he'd take that money! :cheeky:
