1. The Clocktower
2. The Keeper Compound during the council.
3. The Kurshok Citadel

I really enjoyed the museum. "Still Life With Blackjack". So much loot.
I also like the Keeper Compound mission. (Sorry, I rather forgot the name of that mission) I get a perverse joy from blackjacking keepers. Actually, i liked the bits with keeper enforcers everywhere. "You disrupt my mission!" And everyone dies. :laff:
I like the atmosphere of the Cradle. While playing it, I hate it, but looking back, I find it really interesting. I've just got a thing for insane asylums. ;)

For me, the most adrenalin-fuelled part was when the Keeper Enforcers were on the loose. The Cradle - good in retrospect, but I hated it at the time. I loved the Museum and the Overlook Mansion. The mellow piano music in the first part of the Overlook Mansion makes for a really nice relaxed thiefing experience.
My least favourites were the Kurshok Citadel - I just don't like monsters, and I got bored with it and just blasted every living creature in sight - and the Abysmal Gale.

Any mission before the Cradle that didn't have zombies/haunts.

Am I the only one that likes Rutherford Castle? That's my third favorite, first is The Museum and second is The Cradle. I hated Cradle first time I played it, I ran trough it as fast as I could and missed all the cool details & books. Second time I searched it entirely.

Rutherford Castle was OK, but I was a little disappointed that you could basically just walk in and lift the opal. I was hoping that it would have had some more challenging security protecting it.

Opal, i love that word! Better than Cellar Door, i reckon!

I never quite understood why "Cellar Door" is supposedly the most beautiful word in the english language.
Opal is a good word.
My favorite mission was the Overlook Mansion. I love storms and I acutally played the mission on a stormy day.
It was great! :thumb:

Most of the actual missions in Thief DS are great and very thiefy! I think 90% of the complaints I had about the game concerned the non-mission parts, so that just goes to show you... :D
Anyway. Obviously the Cradle stands out because it's just sublime, especially the first time you play and if you do it properly (alone, in the dark, preferably with headphones). However take the environment away and it's really just an easter egg hunt, so I'm not sure if I can place that at the top of my list.
I really did enjoy the museum level. That's where a thief wants to be! But the sea mansion level was also fantastic. I can't decide between those two.
One thing I didn't like so much about the museum was that it didn't really feel like a final-mission level, although I suppose it's not as the part after is like a mission itself.

In rutherford castle, when I was picking up the bloodline opal I kind of waited for something to happen. Anything.:tsktsk: the cage should have slammed shut or the alarm should have gone off or something. And nothing happened.:( It didn´t have any surprises. Boring!
Well the museum didn´t have any surprises either, but it had lots of goods in it so that´s why it´s the best mission.:p :p
The seaside mansion was bad, because I didn´t want to steal from a widow. I don´t think that Moira lady has a job so where is she going to get the money for all those servants and guards who are already stealing from her? Her husband died or vanished or turned into a zombie for gods sakes! Look at me, I´m pitying a pixel princess...:nono: well it just feels so real some times.
