Well, mi first impression was too bad, it was when i was 7 years old, mi first Thief playing, i was in cragsleft... i had foud the Possed zombie close to the coils, i never imagine that the zombie could stand up, and, how an ingenuous boy, i touched it and in the moment the zombie turns to me i left the room and gived the PC to my brother :( . I never played Thieg for days, and now, those zombies fears my fire arrows... (sweet vengeance) :ebil:.
P.D: sorry about my english.

It had that effect on every child who played it, and many adults, too!:thumb:

I was fine with the zombies, but the spider in the elevator shaft totally freaked me out.
Also, since my English was around 0 back than, the hopeless running in circles started to get me after a while.
Now I (we) hopelessly run in circles looking for that damn key and the last 20g of loot... :cheeky:

Haha yes, that's right jtr7, this effect serves me to scare my little cousins when they get curious to play the game, i put the Return to The Cathedral level, haha, i enjoy hearing their screams. :ebil:

My first impression ... I distinctly remember some 'ticking' machine in the street on the way to Bafford's; I was wondering what it did and that gave me a feeling of exploring an old existing world. It brought me 'into' the gameworld.
I hated the apparitions, talking backwards and all that. Then when I got a decent GFX card, they were transparent! :erm:

I also was scared by the zombie in cragsleft mine,I was 8 when my aunt gave the game to me for my birthday. And I was so scared that I stopped playing it and started again when I was 10 and finished it.

I was 13 and the Zombies were a problem. But I loved the game and replayed Bafford's Manor a lot. Remember admiring the AI and deliberately harassing the servants and then chasing them till they reach a guard, just to hear how they ask him to investigate. My English was as well pretty low back then. It took me a few weeks to discover that the Water Arrow can put out a tourch and that amazed me.
