What will become of post-Theif 3 games, if they even come to be? - by godofgamers

Understood.
godofgamers, not very often does someone new come by posting deep thoughts on the theories of Garrett and The Keepers. I didn't disagree with your statements in the first posts.
Newbie-choppin' axes aside, it seems like you've put a lot of thought into your first post. Have you beaten Dark Project?
I'm working on it, most of my info came from reading around the forums at the history of Thief

Ah, the first time through The Dark Project.
Enjoy it, my friend. I'm not sure if you've played through Deadly Shadows yet or not, but Dark Project will give you a much better idea of what the Thief world is really all about.
I don't want to say more. The first Thief is truly a classic game and anything more may spoil it for you. I hope you make it through the whole game. Truly a rewarding experience.

Come on, we all know that every newbie will see their question / pointless babble basically answered / addressed in the first posts. Any ZB-type "flames" that ensue allow the thread to be not only readable by the original poster / the people who answered / the moderators, but also any member who enjoys useless internet fights, mockery, etc. And I've rarely seen such threads turning into a real flamewar.
Still, it consumes time and space for everyone. Now if bandwidth was an issue (is it ?), that would be understandable to moderate more hardly (and I agree that Thiefgen is currently a little under-modered).
Anyway people should really be less serious when posting (especially in a thread whose point has already been addressed). Sorry, but in this thread, I find people such as Dia more trouble-stirring than ZylonBane.

I really don't care if someone is a newbie or not. If I see somebody post something blisteringly stupid (IMHO), odds are I'll comment on it.
You may comment if you wish but often you do so in abusive manner.
No Abusive Behaviour. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this Forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, sexually explicit, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. Aw that's cute.
You do realize, don't you, that if that were actually enforced we'd lose half our members, moderators, and admins?

You are backseat-moderating; that skates the edge too, I believe.
But who cares? It doesn't matter.
The broken and unbroken rules will balance each other out even if more rules are broken than followed; sort of like a divine set scales.
The purities and impurities will shift and reconstitute themselves between each scale until equilibrium is set again.
So...yes.

Yes. Dia is quite the sunny-mannered thread remora and I say that, not out of malicious intent, but purely out of observation.

Don't forget that it was Miss Sunshine that in post 6 suggested sending godofgamers to Community Chat.

I see that as more of a hair-trigger suggestion given in almost every case like this rather than a revelation.

Yes, but intentions are verything, my dear. And I do believe that intentions are being examined at this point...
:)

I have good intentions, but got caught up in an argument, which, btw, still takes two or more. I get a little sick of newbie bashing & go on the defensive sometimes. Suggesting that gog visit CC was all in fun. I would have warned him had he seemed inclined to do so. I wasted no more space & time than anyone else joining in a thread that's been derailed.
Remora? I suppose it could have been worse; you could have said lamprey or worse still, candiru.
Miss Sunshine? You were being facetious, of course.
