You know when I first read that nick, I was reading somerhing like 'goofy...' and when I saw the posting I thought to myself that the nick is very fitting indeed. :)

Not necessarily. I lurked (ghosted?) here for months and didn't register until I needed to use the search function to find a hint for an FM.

As long as he doesn't post in ComChat with that nick he should make it.
Ohh, funny thing...I believe I saw him spawled over in one of the dark subforum alleys. Call for help--that axe wound looks serious! You can die from those, I think.

Okay, so he/she/it was a tad pretentious, but that's okay. This is a Thief forum, ZB; newbies are welcome (generally), so we're supposed to be nice, right? Steer g.o.g. to ComChat if you feel slayful. :cheeky:
BTW, godofgamers; hope you can back up your claim. ;)
I really resent comments like that. I am not arrogant, I do not pride myself above other people, I only use that name because it is my name on virtually all my other accounts on other forums. As for caling me a newbie, I dont care, but keep in mind, that makes you sound just as arrogant as you are portraying me as.
And what is this "ComChat"?

Thank you, it is good to see someone who does not judge a book by its cover

I think that anyone choosing the nick "GodOfGamers" is asking for extra attention, much like "TheBuilderHimself" and a few others.
Don, who was lazy and used my NIC nick
Oh, I've seen worse, such as a person with a screenname, "totalprime". He/she/it gave a new definition to the word "egomaniac".

Turn your

But you've got it wrong. A great deal of the members here are extremely well-informed and know exactly what they are talking about.
This isn't a "HAYY GUYZ NUB LETZ FLAME LOL" type of message board.
Don't feel unwelcome. These "rude comments" are just a unique method of expression by well-defined and interesting characters.
Try not to take things so seriously and react calmly before going on a tangent about being attacked because you're new.
Try and enjoy yourself, these are some of the most eclectic and enjoyable fora around.
Oh-Kay. I'm done.

Well, I would just think that people would have outgrown this by now, it's a pity society as a whole does not evolve as quickly as individuals.

Did even read my reply to you two posts up? I was trying to explain it to you.
We don't have problems with "newbs"--well, except for when they dichotomize our entire establishment and try to lay everything down in a simplistic, single-minded manner when haven't even been here very long.
So people disagreed with what you said? Or responded it certain ways you don't like? Too bad. People are entitled to their opinions and you have no reason to bring the issues of ettiquete and maturity in.
Stop being a baby and calm the Hell down.
godofgamers on 18/1/2006 at 02:21
I am calm, did you see any exclamation points in my argument? I don't. And I am not upset because people disagree with me, I'm quite used to it. I just didn't expect such a warm welcome, your kindness and consideration took me aback......you've all inspired me, it's.....it's beautiful, I think we have to hug....
