I missread the name to something like 'goofy' and when I saw the posting I thought the name (goofy) fitting: Not the actual nick, because at this time, I was still under the missread impression. :)

Did you need to register there? I never saw spam on forums where you had to register first. IMO that's one of the points of registering.
