me personally i think a "daylight" mission contest is needed, just seems so few and far between we get a day light missions
what are you idea's for what type of contest you would like to see next,i am just wondering
also i still think a "choose your own adventure" would be a great contest mission idea also, and yes i do know and play the mission with that name but omg it was not what i was expecting
also a idea i was wondering about would be a prequel to thief 1 with a lot of back story on charterers we grown to love over the years
also happy new year 2017 everyone

+1 for the choose your own adventure idea.
Otherwise we have still some upcoming quality FM's so I for one would love another Total Crap contest, some absurd out of the box thinking that actually leads to whole new levels of creativity, just as we had years ago with that brilliant mission called "Incubus". I was thinking about doing maybe a Thief meets The Stanley Parable sort of experience, but way crappier. And even a revisited version of "Oh my god get your blackjack back" would make my day!
But any contest would be a great opportunity to relive the community and keep on taffin' ;)

Something like "not your usual setting contest", like a cyberpunk mission :o

We've done it with OMs before, but now I'd love a contest where you have to remake/modify a FM made by someone else. Not an abandoned project, you'd take a real finished and published mission as a base, and either modify the objectives, graphics or both. One of the criterias for voting would be the ability to make something completely different out of it.

Sounds great! I wouldn't require changing the mission drastically though. It would be nice enough to reanimate some good old FMs, which became a bit outdated.

There are plenty of FMs that could be remade. The Death of Garrett, Gathering at the Bar, L'Arsene and Lord Edmund Entertains, to name a few!

I would love a contest about exotic or ancient places , like Greek temples, Alexandria temples, Egypt temples, Roman temples.

What if you got a text file containing the Oxford English Dictionary (or Webster or whatever) and ran a random number generator on it to generate, say, 20 words. And then those 20 or however many words would be the "prompt" for the contest and just see what people come up with. You don't even need a dictionary. You could use other sources of literature such as websites, news articles, history books, or fiction.

Love this idea, lots of possibilities with lost civilizations and ancient ruins. Call it the non-City contest.
@Saucer - there was actually a sort of similar "Words Contest" done a few years ago, FireMage organized it.
Some daylight missions would be interesting too - I'm playing Dishonored 2 now, and it's surprising how many of the missions take place in broad daylight. But I still like the "ancient" idea better.
