Anyone remember exactly when T1 was released? I have memories of first playing the demo and subsequently running out to buy a copy in either October or November of '98. Needless to say I didn't get a lot of studying done when Thief came out.
Damn, Falcon 4 will turn ten next year too

Quoted from Digital Nightfall's archived news page(Thief devs speaking):
Quote:
We want our renderer to be competetive with other products on the market, obviously, but object behaviors are where the gameplay is.
Oh so true. I just have to say it again: Object behaviors are where the gameplay is. If only the 5.2 million FPS shoot-alikes out there would listen to that one sentence... I might own a lot more games!

Thief is the one of the very few old games, that beat a lot of the new ones( for me). The year 98 was a great game year! Starcraft turns 10 in april, Half-Life does the same in next november. Those two and Thief are the games that I most adore. Hmmm... Ten years of wonderful gaming! I thank this forum for being awesome as allways and reminding me of this fact. BTW I think thief got out in the end of November.
