If you are talking about using an OmniLightPoint outside a window texture I would just use it as it is... intensity is set to 50. I set the radius to 20 and click on the Quad box. I make the light color the same as the glass color of the window texture.

yes but usually the lited windows texture are yellow or orange, and the omnilightpoint i use as 0.00 as default for lightcolor, which means white/cold temperature.
I´´ve set some of them for a yellow and orange color . But i was just curious what you authors usually use.

I usually use yellow too (0.13, 0.64). And I only use AnimLightPoints so all my windows have a subtle flickering effect.

do you use flickering or random but coherent? Do you use 50 light intensity as John? let´s say for a window h-8 D-4?

Random but coherent, and I rarely change the intensity or radius from the default value.
BTW there's no need to quote the post that's immediately above your reply.
