So why the hell isn't anyone talking about Breaking Bad around here? It's not like these last two episodes have been anything less than fantastic? What's going on?
I'll mention what I think about when I get home tomorrow. I'd do it now, but I'm up way later than I should be, and need to hit the bed ASAP.
So...discuss.

Not seen the second one but the 1st one was solid. I'm loving Walt's progression. Mike is seeing it too. Great show but there are so many questions already especially regarding the flash-forward.

Just finished the second episode of the 5th season, Madrigal.
Read an article in my anticipation for the season that described a Hank-knows theory. That article probably colored how I watched that scene with Hank & Gomie & Merkel, but hoollllllyyy shit. It could go either way though...
First time watching through the series Hank was probably my least favorite character. His insecurities, mannerisms, the way he treats Marie once he survives the assassination attempt. Just- Asshole. Watching through a second time he's probably my favorite now.
But he's not a dumb guy, by any means, and I think he's had suspicions of Walt for quite some time, a) he just doesn't have the evidence, because Walt isn't leaving any, and b) I'm not sure he'd know what to do if he DID have evidence. It's like, as a viewer we're anticipating that *moment* when Hank puts it all together and goes 'omg' I'm starting to think the roles will be reversed, Walt finding out that Hank was onto him the whole time.
Fuck I love this show.

Season 5 is even more intense than S4, and we're only 2 episodes in. I love every fucking second of it.
Mike is such a badass. I'd be perfectly happy with Walt crashing and burning as long as Mike and Jesse make it out alright.
Also the Hank scene in question above... I can't think of any other subtle gesture and key words to cause the hairs on the back of my neck to stand so quickly. Ugh, I hope I'm not overhyping this for myself, I really hope things go down reasonable paths.

I'm bumping this thread again because I just realized no one mentioned Wilfred. Does no one like this show? I think its fantastic.

I like it. I know nobody else that talks about it though.

I just learned that there's a new reality TV show called Small Town Security being filmed not even a mile away from me, filled to the brim with weird, crazy people and being aired on AMC.
...I guess my little chuck of the world is still surfing it's 15 minutes of fame. I'm gonna watch it, and probably be horribly embarrassed by what they show.

Okay, watched both episodes and it...it...was surreal. That's about the only way to explain it. I've read up on reviews on the internet, and most people seem to think it's all fake.
It's not.
I've seen a couple of these people around town. The blonde secretary? I actually know her distantly. I went to school with her older brother who died in a tragic accident before we graduated.
The building itself? Used to be the property assessors office. My aunt used to work there before they moved to the big courthouse. I've been in there a few times. I could probably walk there in under 8 minutes.
The people? Strange, strange people. Not that I can say they're too out of the ordinary. This is the town that gave us the Virginia Ridley murder, the Tonya Craft clusterfuck, and hey, I'm only a 20 minute drive away from Tri-State Crematory. It's a weird corner of the world where I live. Subtly off.
And the show itself? It's a reality TV show, but it is interesting, I'll give it that. Whether because of the cast of characters, or because I literally recognize every single place in every single shot, I dunno yet. Guess I'll keep watching it simply for the spectacle.

Just started watching True Blood. After Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones it's refreshingly cheesy and fun. Cool tunes too.
