The best moment I had with the game was when JC walked up to that SOB pimp and said "You´ve got 10 seconds to beat it before I add you to the list of NSF casualties."
Firstly, because IMO this quote defines JCs personality. When he´s talking about democracy and stuff like that, he´s a bit hipocritical: He doesn´t care about democracy. He doesn´t care about conspiracies. He doesn´t even care about laws.
What he DOES care about is the well-being of those he swore to protect.
Going even further OT, this is also the reason why I think that JC would choose the "Helios" ending. A damn shame that this ending was explored the the least in the epilogue.
Oh, and secondly, because of the utter coolness factor of that scene.
Seeing that punk scurry of with his tail between his legs after a dose of JC in badass-mode was immensly satisfying!

Watch out, though - that punk is the same one who harasses Dowd, later, in the burned-out ruins of Osgood and Sons. Yes, that's who that is you see running around.
I do wonder how many people who threaten the pimp (as I do) also choose Helios. I've seen this a lot. (I've seen people who shoot him do the Tong ending). Keep in mind that this is hardly a scientific survey, just what I've noticed. Perhaps it's just that my sample (of players) is too small, but you may also have a point about what this means re: JC's personality.
Other odd things I've seen, watching people play - how many keep the riot prod (if you use it) in Inventory slot 2? And the lockpick and multitool in slots 7 and 8? It's weird how often people do this.

Eep! I do that. having both "lockpicks" near the keyring is probably intuitive. :)
Phydeaux on 1/6/2001 at 13:29
I do the same. from 1-9, it's just like it woulda been in Halflife or other FPS.
Knife
Crossbow
Pistol
Assault Shotgun
Assault Rifle
Sniper Rifle
GEP Gun
LAM or EMP
Lockpicks
Multitool
This is off the top of my head, so don't get all huffy if I have inventory problems.

Ah, home again! Had to use the stalky account because I dont remember stochastic alphanumerlical Passwords well
Anyway, your dead on with the lockpicks/multitools, slots 8 and 9, respectivly.
However, the prod is in slot 1. Nr. 2 is the baton...
TechImmortal on 2/6/2001 at 07:33
Yeah, I re-read my post today...I meant slots 8 and 9, but all of you seem to have figured out what I meant. Those two slots on the end next to the keyring.
Notice that lockpick and multitool are positioned in that order (as opposed to multitool and lockpick.) Yes, I know, it's a 50/50 probability, but does anyone position them the other way?
lunatic96 on 2/6/2001 at 22:37
It just seems natural to put the lockpicks then multi-tools. my order is as follows
1.pistol
2.prod
3.melee weapon
4.assault rifle
5.stealth pistol
6.cross bow
7.gep gun, sniper rifle, assault shotgun, or lams depending
8.lockpicks
9.multitools

"sticks and stones"...
I just LOVE the way JC says that bit :)

The most fun thing that happened:
The first time in Hell's Kitchen, in the MJ12 sever base. I go in an shoot the guards. After a few hits they wimp out and start running around and I kkeep shooting. One of them is doing his amok, turns towards me, and all the sudden jumps to the poisonous smudge below! JC must have been very scary in his gestabo coat. :D
The same thing happened with a MIB in facility where you steal the submarine, but he was in flames and there was sea below, so he had a better reason. :)
The most fun thing I didn't do:
Why, o why didn't I let the karkians loose on the guards in front of the room Paul was treated in the underground MJ12 facility? :(
