Do tell :) Although I haven't done this specifically, I'd assume you simply drop it to the ground and time your jump right so your scouting orb is triggered before you hit the streets. Nothing easier than that. It is interesting I haven't thought of it before, as I can be quite suicidal :laff:. I guess because I am a stickler for using any items/weapons and not given scouting orbs more often than not anyway..

stupidist way i died way trying to get down a rope arrow Damn its hard to get down those buggers
S_Hole on 1/8/2003 at 23:34
very stupidest way must be climbing with ropearrow in life of the part and touching the edge of the ceiling in an angle and getting catapulted by the engine bug like 300m across the level and smack to a wall to my death
that got me screaming "oh, come on!!!" from the bottom of my lungs
stupidest way where i'm at fault is probably sneaking along a corridor, thinking i'm safe
only, there was a guard walking just behind me for maybe 15 meters.. or god knows how long..(dark long corridor on some FM) and when i finally stop, he bumps into me, and the last thing i hear is benny's "HA!" and three sword hits

dumb waiter squish while looking up at where i was going and being over to one side too far. and as always the comical skittering feet while jumping to a ledge 4 stories up. like when a cat jumps and misses, sad but funny.

Hmm... probably, the stupidest way I ever died was drowning... yep, DROWNING. It was the mission in thief 2 where I needed to blackmail Truart---It was just around the beginning of the game where there is a bridge and a small river(just before the mansion) and i heard a guared patrolling the area. I COMPLETELY forgot I was underwater and when I tried to go up for air, i got stuck underwater (i was under the bridge). I tried and tried to go up but I couldn't (probably some bug in the game) until i met my untimely death. Wow, what a way to die. *sighs*
There was also this other time in the mission "Blood" in T2 where I needed to get past the apebeasts who were talking to each other. I tried many times but I couldn't seem to find a way to get past them. I really got frustrated and took the advice my dad gave me---RUN! I did that and sure, the apebeasts followed(but they were sooo slow) when I thought I had lost them when I got up the stairs on the tree. I then found out that there was another apebeast just above the stairs and when I turned back, the two apebeasts who were chasing me were behind me and then... *bump* *bump* *bump* I was beaten to death. *sighs* Sure wish Garrett had more fighting skills... *sighs*
:erm:

I have died stupidly so many times it's nicer to forget - the most stupid probably was in Maw of Chaos when
I had replaced the eye and was waiting for constantine to finish his ritual and die - I had climbed up on a high rock shelf to watch and leaned forward and fell off! The fall only half killed me and he finished me off before I could escape.
These were both in fan missions.
I was in Events in Highrock and jumped into the fountain, when suddenly.. I couldn't move. Only I was moving ... DOWN. I was sinking INTO the terrian, poor Garrett couldn't take his feet sinking into the ground so he let out a scream and fell over...
I was in Mansion of Chaos and I was walking thru the caves and I fell thru the fabric of time that is dromed... I was caught in a void kept falling and falling and falling... I didnt die... but it was still really strange... :weird:

While being chased by Ratmen or Haunts (or whatever is ok to kill on expert) I have the habit of throwing a mine in front of me and then trying to jump over it. Everytime i do it I think it will be the one time it actually succeeds. I'll probably try it again in panic. :tsktsk:
