I never die :ebil: I am the woodsie lord.
But on a more serious note, I was underwater and kept using my health potions instead of Breathe ones so I kept pressing tab to cycle round to the Breathe potions but kept missing then eventually "uck ucckkk ucckkkkkk ouwwww!!!" :tsktsk: Now thats embarasing.

Spike14:
The fire barrels in this mission were rigged to be moveable. Sounds like a bright idea to me - if I use any, they'll probably be moveable too. And let me tell you, loosing that fire arrow created a BIG bang!

Here's one for you:
Ever shot a fire arrow without pulling back the bowstring all the way? Since it travels in a straight line regardless, it just flies really slow... Just to try it out, I fired one and started run-jumping in T1... and shot myself with a fire arrow.

While leaning out doorways I sometimes flew out and hit the opposite wall and died for no reason. Probably my fingers got caught in the door and as I reeled in pain the wall broke my head.

Stupidest way I died...
In Life of the Party, I was by a place with 2 guards and a chimney to climb down. As I snuck along, thearcher saw me and shouted. I got scared and ran down the steps. Into the swordsman. I quickly dropped a flashbomb, which, for some unapparent reason, blinded ME and not HIM. I the flash of white I panicked, ran back and straight into the archer that was looking for me. Between him and the other guy, My time was up.
Another was in Eavesdropping, I complete all the objectives, and get back to the entrance, then die of SHAS right before the Mission Complete screne comes on.

In T2 mission #2, I was on the second building b floor and was COCKY. I had already blackjacked the archer (expert level, btw.) and was running up to jack the sword guard. I have my blackjack out and don't stop running to him because I'll just knock him out and kepp running. I get close to him and swing the jack. It swings and hits him to no effect, and a bug makes me run right through him, resulting in his seeing me.
Slice Slice.

The fire tower in Lost City has been mentioned already, as has falling off the highest rafter in RTC, and landing at the bottom of the mine in Cragscleft. But my best death (as so many, many others) was in LotP.
Inside, I've been going around KO'ing everyone. And as I clear out a floor, I walk up, then back down, and hand around the stairs to catch all those darn pesky guests who keep appearing. Well, I reach the third floor, took out the guests going down, then as I pause in a shadow with my light bar completely dark, a Mechanict comes round the corner and spots me. Well, having played the mission before, I run past him, onto the balcony, and leap onto the next one. Safe for the moment, I think, as I watch him run off, and prepare to leap back.
Well, I miss, but not only do I miss - a crossbow lady has come up on the third balcony, and shoots me in the back just as I miss and begin my long plummet down to ground level.
My second-best death was also in LotP, with the drunken guard just outside - I managed to miss KO'ing him, and he must have stolen the Drunken Master perk from Fallout, 'cause the bastard smacked me about eight times in two seconds. I just hear Garrett do rapid-fire grunts and my health bar vanishes.

Not so much dying as weird mission failure.
Very first time I played Theif 2 (and I've yet to play Theif 1). I remember nothing about my play through of that mission expect this bit. I KO one of the guards in the basement area, patroling the hallway near the little room with the water in the corner. Being seasoned DX1 gamer I know that the only way to kill and unconscious person is to hack their body into little bleeding gibs. So after I throw his body into the water, I'm supprissed to hear a series of grunts and groans from the poor sap. Then he finally releases his dying cry as I'm merilly on my way out of there (the unconscious grunting was somewhat unsettling) and I am confronted with the skull and cross bones of a failed mission. Scared the shit out of me as I had no idea why it happened until I saw the mission requirements and the bit about not killing people having a red "x" through it. I gained a new respect for the makers of these games that way.

I was playing Thief: TDP demo with my cousin. Despiting the fact that we were both shouting and killing all the guards in front of the main (or entrance) gate, where you have to get to to finish the mission, blah, blah, blah.... The game was real fun for me, especially at 1.00 am  Onto the Garrett's death: I went downstairs, faced the maingate and started to look my weapons through. I found out that I had some rope arrows, so I decided to use one of them. I looked above me, at the ceiling, shot the rope arrow and started climbing on it. I was swinging for a while, then I had heard a loud CRACK! and Garrett fell off it with the arrow. He was dead. I didn't know why! Later on I wanted to check the rope arrows and somehow I found myself hanging on a rope in one of the fan missions... 5 minutes passed.... 10 minutes (I was eating, walking and doing everything to kill my time ^^' Ehh...) and Garrett was still on it! HOW DID IT COME? :weird:
And... onto dying once again: I don't die, because I'm always very, very careful, and when Garrett's about to die, I just click "Esc" and then "Load" and so on... ^^ I hate to see my beauty dying.

My dumbest death = on down the bonehoard near the exit there is a large circular tower with a door way you go through and there is a straight drop into some water with a beam going across the centre. Earlier in the level before completed objectives i passed by with some zombies making a vein attempt to chase me, easily escaped.
Once i completed the objectives i went back to the exit. the zombies had run into one of the statues, as many AI's in thief do, i sprinted past it, to find another zombie, behind a different statue. This trapped me in the corridor leading to the exit and this circular tower, With no undead wepons left i tried to run and escaped with three or four health. Happy at being free i did not think and jumped straight down that circular tower, craked my head on the beam and died.
After this i got addicted to dying on this beam and saved it just before jumping from this door way and seeing how many different horrific bone crunching sounds i could make KKRREERRAAAK, AAAAAHHHHHHHH
Oh Yes, this was great. In a fan mission i was spotted by an archer. While standing behind a sofa picking up loot, he fired and i ducked and leaned at the same time, just as the arrow hit me square in the screen, I died ( extra realistic because i was half way through a duck and a lean, i watched blood explode from the screen and actually raised my arms to protect my face because it looked so real.
