T2:
Remember the bank basement, where the mech beast (big one) is trotting about? I disposed of him before turning the corner to sneak past the mech face and open the bar blocking the vault. On the way back, I saw an irregularity in the wall and figured it was a secret. I spotted a trigger on the floor and stepped on it thinking that I'd get a lovely bunch of shinies from the hole in the wall. I swiftly ran in front of the hole and greeted the nice, fat mech head facing me. Needless to say, squeals and blood was aplenty.
T1:
Mission 'undercover'.
I was on the bottom floor, getting rid of the guards. I went past a room with a window and spotted the priest inside. Thinking I could disract him outside, I placed a mine outside the doorway. I then saw him walk past the window and I stuffed an arrow in his neck, he died instanly.
So now I have a mine in my way. I want to pick it up. I want to use my lock picks to disarm it. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
Dammit!
And of course, there's the heart attacks.

My best death was in Kabooze when the streets are way to long and I started to jump and jump and jump and went soooooooo freakin fast I ran into a wall and made a pancake shaped like a bloodt thief

one time during "Life of the Party" (Thief:TMA) I dropped all my mines a frog beasts on the ground floor of the great cylinderical precipice. I then climbed all the way to the top, picked up Friend Vilnia and jumped off the top floor when it looked like the frog beasts were near the mines, I had to reload something like two dozne times before I got all the way to the top with out the frogs leaving or setting off the mines. I figured if I damaged myself lightly before I threw vilnia off and jumped myself and took two health potions on impact, I might survive not only the fall but the blast, needless to say it was stupid not only in of it self but because it wasn't an accident, I spent alot of time setting this stunt up.
-I've died trying to fight Constantine, fighting four haunts at once, fighting 12 ratbeasts at once. Letting Hammers riot in the streets after me. I've walked right into too many traps to remember.

I was on the highest boucony in the rotunda in the Mechanist tower in LOTP and I wanted to try something that someone had told me that is cool (frogbeasting) I jumped and sucessfully frogbeasted, thinking "Wow...I did it, I'm safe! Go me!" and then the mechbeast that I forgot about comes in and I hear, "WRETCHED INTRUDER!!!!" I turn around a little too late, but just soon enough to see a cannonball smash Garret in the face.

Stupidest way I ever died...
Probably in Assassins (TDP). I was running around outside, and, having cleaned out most of the guards, set to exploring. So I ran around back (via west side) and hoofed it all the way to the other end with the little pond. Nothing was there (already took out the guard earlier), so I turned around to head back. Now, understand that I had been making frequent use of the speed-hopping bug to get around outside. So, of course, I went speed hopping back:
Jump... Jump... Jump.. Jump.. Jump. Jump. Jump Jump JumpJumpJumpJump...
I was hitting the timing perfectly, and all I could think to myself was "Man, I am FLYING!" Of course, you can't really turn while jumping like that, so my plan was to bump into the wall at the end to stop myself and then continue on. So I kept on bouncing, gaining more and more speed until I was practically covering 10 feet in a single jump. And then it happened...
Jump-jumpjump...*SPLAT!!*
:wot:
Yeah, thats right. I was going so fast, that when I hit the wall, I DIED. :laff:
Full health to pancake in two seconds flat. At first, I was totally stunned. I had no idea that hitting a wall could kill you! (More on that later). But once I realized what had happened, and especially after I replayed the scene in my head, I couldn't stop laughing. I could just picture Garrett sailing allong like some weird bunny/roadrunner cross, and then totally flattening himself all over a wall. :laff:
Later on, I *think* I figured out what happened. The walls inside the courtyard have a very slight taper to them, like so /_\
Normally when you hit a sloped wall or floor, you aren't traveling fast enough to cause any falling damage, so nothing weird happens. But since I was moving at such an insane speed, when I came in contact with that gentle slope on the wall, the game somehow thought I had 'fallen' onto it, and checked my velocity for falling damage. And because I was going like 90 miles an hour.... SPLAT!! :laff:

:laff: LOL!
-- I have something to contribute.... I dunno if someone has posted the same thing that I am about to put, so sorry if it has. (Don't want to read all the posts here.)
Okay, it was in Lord Bafford's Manor. I was going up (or was I going down?) the basement stairs, and then I hit the stairs and die.:weird: :laff: I dunno how to explain it, it was jsut weird. One moment I was just minding my own business, then *BAM*, Garrett peels over dead screaming.:laff:

Sabotage at Soulforge
Happened just now and I remembered this thread.
Some guards were chasing me after switching my third beacon in the inferno room (strange). I ran off and ran onto a "lift". I watched as the guard taunted me realising I was about to get out of his reach. "Idiots" I thought as I was elevated - into a press of some kind squashing me.

I did not know about dat thread Allon. Thanks. I was unaware that this was such a known thing. But, it wasn't heart attack. It was more like slamming his body into the floor and dieing from hitting the stairs.:tsktsk: But, still, yeah, stupid S.H.A.S!

lol! Next time blackjack em and throw them on it!
I was just playing Calendra's Cistern a couple days ago and something strange happened. There's a part where you can use a rope arrow to just barely climb over a brushwork (you know...made of level geometry) fence. I jumped over at an odd angle and landed on it and got stuck and was verrry slowly sliding down it. I thought "ok I'll just wait until I get back to the ground". Then after a minute, I hear *THWACK* "AAAAHHHH" and I die. I guess I impaled myself on it. :o
