Garrett gives up thieving and he becomes a medieval warrior to combat evil.
:eww: <---- This emote needs a follow-through and the resulting mess. Nothing else would do.

The more I look at this, the more I see it becoming reality. :p

The worst thing that could happen is that the game is excellent and we STILL have people moaning, complaining, giving people a bad impression about it thus causing a good game to have poor sales so that developers realise that there is
no point in trying anything other than mass-market dross to make a profit.
If there are sensible and pragmatic choices in the game that allow it to be pleasing to both the hardcore fan and more casual gamers and you tards moan and moan about the compromises for the less than hardcore I swear...
BioShock anyone?
As for T4 for me the worst thing would be third person. I can deal with anything else but that. The really worst part is I think it's gonna happen.

BioShock deserved the backlash though. Big time. As did Thief 3 and Deus Ex 2. Sequels (spiritual or nay) tread a fine line. Thief 2 was built on the same engine with a few tweaks so the foundation remained consistent. This is why I want T4 to have the same core gameplay and world mechanics as T1 and 2 - start off well and you are more likely to build something quality.

My Thief 4 Nightmare is if the atmosphere and the art work are taken away.
e.g. I like the sound of the breeze/wind its totally immersive and guards talking about Taffers :cheeky:

I had a dream a few nights back where I stood in front of a large bill board. Illustrated there was the figure of a young woman dressed in black. Apparently she was the girl Garrett caught at the end of Deadly Shadows. All the more she stood in the middle of a modern day city with a gun in her left hand. In the background I could see an old gray man sitting on a wheel chair... (Self explanatory) :tsktsk:
