I mostly re visit the Thief series around winter time, it's usually dark early outside, it's cold and it really does ad to the thief atmosphere :)
The game just feels wrong when played during the day or at summer
What do you think? My best memories of Thief are playing it with the lights out with a few candles and at night. You are transported there in person.
God bless you Thief, god bless everyone of you.

Absolutely. Winter and fall are the best times for me.
I must play Autumn in Lampfire Hills every Halloween! :)

I play Thief only when I'm aroused, otherwise my blackjack skills and my ability to hide in the darkness and breathe heavily diminish greatly.

I play Thief only in the bathroom, otherwise my heavy breathing is blowing my lid off.

i usually wait until september at the earliest, and then i wait 'til dark.

If I waited for cold weather, I'd only get a couple weeks a year, you lucky Taffers! :)
Dark, yes, that's what blinds & curtains are for, right? There are certain missions that play better at nighttime. I play it whenever I feel the need to black jack something which ends up being most of the time. Unless I feel like whackin' chickens with a crowbar! (redneck rampage)

I grew up on a farm in Iowa (hence location) and when I was about 5 or 6 I would run around outside with a fibreglass bow and tipless arrows pretending to be Robin Hood. I would gleefully chase and shoot the chickens all day long.
I once got caught by my dad who scolded me at first but then grabbed another bow and started helping me about 10 minutes later. :joke:
Ah....What fun.
(No chickens where seriously hurt in this game, btw)

I was diagnosed with a chronic illness and started seeing a therapist several years ago. I only wish I had a picture of her face during our first appointment. She asked me what I did to relieve stress. I replied quite seriously, "I grab my crowbar and beat the shit out of some chickens." I then had to explain that it was only a video game before she had me committed! LOL
