I usually play more Thief games in the fall and winter. Since my husband died last June I haven't played at all; don't quite know why. I want to, but I maybe I'm afraid I'll submerge myself in the games instead of dealing with this Godawful reality that's been smacking me in the face. (No one is allowed to feel sorry for me - this isn't a bid for pity or sympathy, just a fact of my life right now.)
I figure I'll have more time in late fall and winter this year. It looks as though quite a few interesting FMs have come out in the past few months and I look forward to playing them. Til then, I'll content myself with just hanging out here now and then. I happen to like the company! :cheeky:

Dia, I did not know this. :(
I wish I could come over there and give you a hug, but I have to work tomorrow from 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Like I do every day except Tuesday. Yes, I work for the world famous Paielli's Bakery. :cheeky:
Oh, I play Thief any time of year or day. Usually after a long rpg session of course. :) More to unwind and Taff about than anything.

I play Thief with lights out and curtains shut. Other than that, it can be any time. As long as the room is dark, I'm happy to submerge myself!

i play any time that i possibly can. and if i do things right, i may be able to play it in school, lol. ive seen ppl around school with laptops who listen to music and play solitare and crap, so why cant i play Thief during study hall? i got headphones, so the only one hearing the Thiefyness will be me!
no one will be like "OMFG! A game about stealing! And you can kill people?! HES A COLUMBINE KID! SEND HIM TO A SHRINK!"
of course, then id be like, "I already have a shrink! AHAHAHAHAAA!!! :ebil: " ... then id run away with my stuff and head home.
otherwise, id just be learning C++, then theyd think i was a "hacker" cuz im doing shit with a comp they dont understand... if i had a dollar for every time i was told to exit outta notepad because i was brushing up on my C#, id be rich.

People are retarded. That reminds me of something my aunt would say.
Also, people blame Marylyn Manson and Rammstein because the kids listened to that music. Along with millions of others.
People are always eager for a scapegoat as long as it's something they don't like. I vote, they blame bowling since that was the last activity the little shits did before commiting the crime.
It makes sense.

exactly. They probably got mesmorized by the power of the bowling balls to knock down all the pins, and wanted to knock down some "pins" of their own. It makes as much sense as "Slipknot made me do it."

The long, dark Finnish winter is an excellent excuse to stay inside and play Thief. :cheeky:

i still love playing Theif at times with Dethklok playing in the background. :cheeky: Having a keyboard that can remotely manipulate Media Player makes life soooo much easier. :D

Lights out, curtains shut, and a candle and insense burning during a serious game session. Otherwise, mostly all of the same, but listening to a stream of Air America Radio as well. Surprisingly, it doesn't usually interfere much and when it does I simply pause the stream.
