The zombies were bad. But, for me, the spiders were worse. I have a major spider phobia. In the sewer on the way to Bafford's I found the spider cave. Well, after 30 mins of gathering every bit of courage I could find, I was ready to face the spiders. I came out of the water with sword ready. I swung. Next thing I knew, one of the little buggers jumped on my head. I jumped and went rolling backwards in my chair, shrieking and covering my head with my arms. :eek: :eek: :eek:
Scared the devil out of my husband. I made him kill them for me. I just couldn't do it. Later, I discovered you could drown them, so I did. :devil: I've gotten used to them except for the red spitting spiders. They still make my scalp crawl.

i'm not very bothered by spiders in general. but the noises the spiders in thief and system shock 2 make... brr. even the noise they make when they die makes my skin crawl.

I never even found spiders at least half scary. I just find the buggers annoying sometimes when you're trying to aim and kill 'em. :mad:
Interesting tip to use spiders to your advantage: In case no-one tried this already;:p in Thief 2, during the Shipping and Receiving mission, let loose the big green spider being housed in Mynel's steaks warehouse. When climbing on the big crate, wait for the spider to run away untill it's safe to climb back down. Later, you will find that it has killed at least one guard. When all the hubbub has simmered a bit, you will now have one less guard to worry about blackjacking! :thumb:
In the same mission, when exploring Captain Davidson's ship, open the cupboard on the deck, letting loose two/three small spiders in the process of nabbing the loot. Climb up the edge of the ship where the spiders can't get you. They will might run away on land and towards the guards. If they do, watch to your amusement the guards chasing the small spiders around the docks. It is the most funniest moments in Thief 2. :laff:

I've actually come to like the noise very much! :cool:
Now, if someone does a mission with huge flying cockroaches, I know a few people who won't like that!:)

::raises hand::
the
only insect in the world that makes my skin crawl, are roaches. ::shudder:: especially the big honkin bastards that are about as big as your thumb, i love to shoot those bitches with a BB gun, or roast em with the infamous lighter-hairspray can combo. :ebil:
the spiders only bothered me when i couldnt see em, otherwise, it was a simple job of sneaking behind the little fecka, taking aim, and planting a broadhead in its honkin ass! :thumb: i just wanna punt the little things like footballs! :cheeky: i could see Garrett goting around, gleefully kicking field goals with spiders! :laff:

My husband & I have a deal. He kills the spiders that don't get eaten by my hoard of nine cats. They LOVE tasty spider snacks. Unfortunately, they always seem to barf them up on the carpet, no never the tile, the carpet. My side of the bargain is getting all the roaches. I love to step on them & hear that CRACK. Unless of course it's the middle of the night & I'm barefoot! :eww:
I don't have a BB gun and shooting my Walther @ roaches would probably get me in trouble with the locals. Damn! Cause that sounds like fun! One of my cousins used to do the roach roasting trick until he accidently set his sister on fire. She was OK. However, his butt was red for days. :)

My god you're one of those crazy cat ladies! Do you chuck them at people when they walk on your lawn?

Yes, I am proud to say that I am a crazy cat lady married to a crazy cat man. :D
My cats never leave the house unless they're going to the vet or we are evacuating for a hurricane.
Also, I don't go outside much, so I wouldn't notice anybody on the lawn, but I'd proabably throw something at them, like maybe yesterday's litter box treasures!

I only have one cat and cleaning her litter tray is such a horrible task! But i just can't imagine having to clean 9! Do you have 9 litter trays!
How long does it take to clean them?
