Do you use clumping litter? It helps a lot with the boxes. You scoop out the urine clumps, which gets rid of the worst stench. We actually only have 4 jumbo boxes, but they are cleaned 1-2 times a day. My house does not stink of cat urine, either. Most people are shocked we have 9 cats because there is no smell. It takes about 10-15 minutes per cleaning, and every 3-4 weeks, I completely dump the boxes, scrub them clean and refill. Our boxes are on a plastic secretary's mat with bath rugs in front of them. This catches any accidents and keeps litter tracking to a minimum. I can wash the rugs or take the plastic mat in the yard to hose if needed.

I usually play more Thief games in the fall and winter. Since my husband died last June I haven't played at all; don't quite know why. I want to, but I maybe I'm afraid I'll submerge myself in the games instead of dealing with this Godawful reality that's been smacking me in the face. (
No one is allowed to feel sorry for me - this isn't a bid for pity or sympathy, just a fact of my life right now.)
Get it anyway, my sympathies.
I also play more in the winter, when my hometown looks like this;

I play thief in the eveing if I can, but sometimes I shut the curtains and play by day.. but that seldom happens because when I play thief, I like to be ALONE , that means no girlfriend, no phone, no visitors, no ambient sounds from neighbours, just SILENCE :)
