Awesome pics Woodsie. There has been a lot of great Thief-related photos of the real world posted in these forums lately. Very entertaining stuff. :thumb:

OMG, Woodsie Lord, I suggest you to resize the last pic to reasonable size before the mods remove it completely.

Utrecht is beautifull, I like to go with the boat there in the summers.
Love this building, straight from Gotham city.

I remember back in the day of CRT, when you couldn't play Thief during the day simply because of glare. The beauty of LCD is that that's no longer a big issue - glare has been cut considerably.
But nothing captures the atmosphere of playing Thief quite like playing it in the dead of night.

Speak for yourself, many people including me still love their good old CRTs. :sly:

I'm another believer of 'only play thief in winter at night.' Thief is also fun around christmas. Strangely enough it has become a bit of a tradition...

I was a die hard CRT fan until I realized just how much heat they put out. My new LCD can stay on all day with only a minor increase in room temp certainly due to the CPU. With my CRT, the temp went up 5 degrees above that, so my computer time was limited by my heat tolerance. Now I can spend much more time at my PC during the day since there is also no glare. I spend much more time playing Thief during the day now and spend my night time with my hubby.:cheeky:

Mine, unfortunately, has died. After 11 years, I do believe it's allowed to.
Besides, my LCD is larger.

Yah, 11 years is a nice age for a tube. Mine has 7 and it doesn't hold the image much firmly anymore, but otherwise it's pretty to look at and serves me well. So I'll wait until it really fades out. I won't hurry to buy an LCD just because it's currently "in fashion". Hopefully quality 19'' LCDs will be a bit cheaper by then (but then my 17'' tube was more expensive back when I bought it than 17'' LCDs are today!).
