Find the sins object and leave it in front of the hammer, which one? I've tried the chapel/church and a few others. I've got the object, after that I meet up with tommy.

Finished this series, but I've got one question. . probably something that was explained in a readable somewhere that just didn't sink in, but anyway I'll ask it here: Who or what had been killing all the Hammerites in the abbey?

between the stained glass window in the chapel and the little courtyard through the double doors there seems to be a room with a side open to the courtyard above the doors, you can look into it through an open window from a storeroom, I'm pretty sure I know where the entrance is but I can't find any way of opening it
I've tried jumping at the open side but I'm not even getting the grunt of an attempted mantle
so how do I get the door open ?

I fear the last could be the candlestick in the rafters near Larry's Rooms................ if it is then it does not thick of for me ....................
