in the
campfire in the courtyard in front of the church Thanks.
The fact it needed to be done "inside the abbey perimeter" threw me a bit.

What's the significance of this "dark carpet" Brother Jonas keeps mentioning? I've looked all over the abbey but I can't seem to find any such carpet.

The note on the bulletin board is just a clue where to find the key to the secret study. To the left of the board with that note there are some metal gates closing off a small room. That's the entrance to the secret study. The carpet that is referred to is right there in that room behind the gates.

While the whole campaign was really amazing, this mission was my favorite. In part because I love Hammer missions and churches, but also because of the ending. I saw it coming and after I pulled the rope and confirmed my suspicion, I reloaded and then (without ringing the bell) traced the best route to the secret study. I went back and forth several times to make sure I had it down, and then on my last trip back to the bell tower, I put out all the torches. Thought I was pretty clever, but Eternauta was cleverer... :cheeky:
At least two haunts were placed with that route in mind. I just managed to squeeze by them in the dark without alerting them, and made it to the study undetected. What a rush!
