One of the guards in that area has the key for that door. You will probably want it.

Ravenhook: If you're running Win7 32bit, it could be the known issue of NVScript not always working on that OS. Try rebooting and then loading the missions, it sometimes works although not permanently. Also, running Thief2.exe in XP SP3 compatibility mode has also been known to work.

Yes. Go back to the storeroom next door and search the back wall for a switch behind a crate.

I was in the C3 section in the daughter's room/area.
never found that special key there.

Gloria, I'm not sure what special key you are referring to. But in the C3 area you need to find the sewer with a platform with stacked crates over some water. Rope arrow up to that platform. That should get you going.

Just reinstalled T2 + tafferpatcher and I don't have the note either in my inventory.

Where EXACTLY are the glasses ? No cryptic-ness, the cryptic hints about sleeping guards didn't help me.

EDIT: The glasses are nowhere near the sleeping guard in the bar as stated. They are in Area C near the dead guard.

Oh. The game crashes when Mission 2 ends. Even if I CTRL ALT SHIFT END it still crashes.

Guess i'll have to try and load M3 into Dromed and save from there. Weird.

EDIT:- Oh dear. T2 doesn't accept Dromed saves. Did anyone Beta this on Xp64 Pro ?

EDIT EDIT: Oh dear Oh Dear :-) Level 3 crashes in Dromed 2 after abit too. Definately not XP 64bit compatible.
