I think the idea is that you're carrying all that stuff in or on your belt - that's the idea I get from the icon anyway. If you want to get "realistic" I can think of more places than my hands to store things...
I don't think weight should affect your movement speed, unless you're carrying a corpse or a barrel or a table or something. Perhaps your armour should slow you down depending on your skills, but perhaps not. This is a game after all.
As for auto-shuffly :), to be more specific if you wanted to put a sword in the middle, it would push the objects to the left and right and if necessary minimally rearrange them.

Not to me :)
If i thought "games" like these were just games i'd never bother with them, Mario Brothers is a game, first person prespective simulations like these become a reality to me but most arn't all the realistc as i'd like them to be, unfortunatly.
Isn't it about time people got out of that mind set already? :p

My mindset is: I want to enjoy the game and not be needlessly frustrated.
I have no intention of getting out until my fingers are like prunes.

Isn't it about time people got out of that mind set already? :p Have you played OFP yet? Its very realistic and is the best game of 2001 (imo). I really didn't think that a game like this would appeal to me, but with the huge variety of gameplay (including stealth missions), it really has blown me away. I really like it how you can do anything (such as killing people in cars and then stealing their vehicle) in order to achieve the mission objectives...(This really belongs on the gaming forum though)

No, i haven't i think i'll look into it though...is it actually titled "OFP" or is that just an abbreviation of it?

An abreviation. The full title is Operation Flashpoint.

if the mouse clicking wouldn't be so sluggish and inaccurate, that would be a cool solution (after all, if you don't want autoshuffly, don't click on a space where it won't fit)

You know Tels, there is a edit option.

"There would have to be specific data saying whether an object could be rotated, and code to draw it rotated."
Yes...not to troll...but that would not take alot of time to add. Also for drawing it rotated? All they'd have to add is the item pic horizontal not program the item horizontal...
I agree totally with the other above posts. There should be bags and items like a few gems and such taking the same space as a pair of boots is hilarious.
Glorofin on 14/3/2002 at 21:04
We dont know how much space boots take. I bet they will take around 4 whilst a gem only takes 1.
