Well, it *is* Doug Church we're talking about. I'm sure it's some sort of lead visionary role!

Wow ! He's a young looking, handsome guy !
With an old fashioned name like 'Douglas' I imagined him with lank, greasy hair and specs - like a thinner Gabe Newell.

Their product "Aardblox" is an obvious Tetris rehash of which there exists thousands of free versions. In the trailer they depict their customer as a complete imbecile and the speaker sounds like a TV shop announcer. They borrowed their id from "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and their site is hosted on a free website service.
Is that even a company or an elaborate joke?

Both. Mike's quite the goofball.

Emil Pagliarulo, who worked as a designer for TDP, TMA and TDS before joining Bethesda Softworks, speaks in (
http://bethblog.com/podcast/) episode 8 of the Bethesda Podcast, which is on the team's memories of the creation of Oblivion, 5 years on. He talks about thief (skip ahead to about 6:00 if you don't want to wait ;)), and how his love of the games influenced the work he did on the Dark Brotherhood questline from Oblivion.
He also talks about a mod with Garrett's equipment. There're some interesting snippets there.

All I can say is that it's a shame he didn't do the Thieves Guild instead. Though it does explain why the Dark Brotherhood assassins' gear looks so much like Garrett's from TDS :p
