Zaphod, when I get through with this I'm gonna smack you into next tuesday, lol. I'm having some trouble with the Armor Room... When I made it bigger, I also had to move a few mannequins. It didn't like that too much... so it made them stay where they were. And not only that, but messed up the places of various other mannequins. *sigh*

See?! And that's why I don't mess around with the Construction Set! It sounds like you have some experience in this... imagine the mess I would make, as an idiot n00b with no patience and zero apptitude?
Oh, by the way - it's A Good Place To Stay, v1.8
My bad. it WAS v1.8. Quickly, edit your post, before they find out how retarded I really am!
RyushiBlade on 20/6/2003 at 01:10
....
ARGH! *smack*
I've just finished it for 1.8! Zaphod, I
am gonna kill you one day, lol. *sigh* You can always download version 1.8 from (
http://www.morrowindfiles.com/) MorrowindFiles.com. It's a lot better than 1.3... But you'd need to take all your stuff out of your house before changing the plugins.
Bleh. Well. You can download what I did (
http://www.gigarengou.com/A%20good%20place%20to%20stay,%20Ver%201,8.esp) here. This DOESN'T include the meshes and things you need, it's just the esp file. It replaces the esp that comes from Morrowind Files.
And... there is only one problem. For some reason, the mannequins have been doubled. All your mannequins wearing armor are fine, except there's a mannequin (with no armor) in the same spots. If that makes any sense... you'll see. You just need to disable it using the console.

... Heh... I haven't uploaded it yet, lol. I was gonna, but I got sidetracked ^.^
It's up now.
Oooh... I forgot. Incase you want to add some more mannequins in the places you can, all you need to do is stand where you want the mannequin, facing the way you want it to face, and type in the console:
player-> placeatpc "Mannequin" 1 1 1

If you want, you can upload my Citadel mod. It adds on to Fort Frostmoth... it's similar to A good place to stay (plenty of storage, named containers, etc.) It doesn't have much space to show your items, but it does have an Armory with a LOT of Mannequins. I think I went a bit overboard there ^.^
(
http://www.gigarengou.com/Citadel%201.0.2.esp) Download the Citadel here.
It was made more just for me, but it also had the public's taste in mind. I would have made more showroom (tables and the like) but I had to make it... um... what's the word? Well, it had to be proportional to the outside type of thing. The Armory is an exception since it's the basement ^.^

That's AWESOME! The Library is great, and the new mannequin room is excellent.
My next task, and I might actually try this myself - I want to be able to rename each of the mannequins as a redistrubte all the stored armor I have. Either in the Editor, or (what I'd REALLY love to be able to do) in the game itself.
And I want to find a way to make (and this is probably the overly ambitious part) the bookshelves "frobbable," for lack of a better word. That is, I want to "interact" with them like chests or desks, so that the books "appear" in there rather than me just placing them precariously. My ULTIMATE goal is to have a bookshelf that automatically re-alphabetizes the books each time you place a new one in there. Heck, the chests already to do that (as I found by storing all my books in one chest). So... it can't be THAT hard.
Thanks so much, Ryushi. And, to those who might be wondering why we're carrying on this "private" conversation in an open forum, I would encourage anyone who likes collecting and displaying to download Ryushi's new updates to A Good Place To Stay.

Heh. I'm speechless. Thanks ^.^;
That bookshelf idea is really cool... but I'm not sure if it's do-able. If it is, it would require a whoole lot of scripting. And I'm not a scripting kind of man, lol. Interesting concept though... I place books that look alike next to each other, and I have my library categorized (one bookshelf for stories, another for history/geography/military, another for poetry, etc...) It looks neater, imo, if it's ordered by the way it looks.

I think you should have the odd different-looking book breaking up rows of identical ones- otherwise they'd look like those 'books by the yard' fake books that some people with more money than sense apparently add to their bookshelves to make themselves look intellectual ;)
Myoldnamebroke on 20/6/2003 at 21:17
My library's done by catagory - takes up the whole big yellow room at the bottom of my Telvanni tower, and is overflowing onto the floor. I've got a pyscho librarian who tries to kill me whenever I enter it :D
The bookshelf is not doable. Bookshelves are static objects, like walls. Could write a script that makes them containers, but not that made them accurately display the contents. So you shelves would appear bear, unfortunately.
