I felt perfectly satisfied watching her transform into that weak old lady and have all her dreams and plans crushed by a "weak" mortal.
i totally agree, killing gamall would have been too mercyful compared to what she did to other people
but living only to see youself defeated by what many would cald a lowly thief would be unbearable for someone of power like gamall
about lauryl, as we dont see much of a closure about what happen and since we dont really know how garrett feels, its leave a lot of potential for writing fanfictions

5 years since the last post... I suppose the project was a flop.
I never really shared a deep connection with Drept or Lauryl. Drept was so fleeting in the story that I didn't have much time to think about him.
Lauryl doesn't get my sympathy after ordering me around that crazy place.

Half the posters in this thread haven't been here since 2006, including the person responded to.:nono:
Since Garrett's a thief, not a murderer, and the first games had him trick the main villains into killing themselves with their own doomsday resources, I was only disappointed Gamall held back from really stopping Garrett. Even though Artemus gave Garrett a good head start, Gamall was too busy monologuing to attack Garrett right away. Garrett did give Gamall a strong taste of the very thing she most greatly feared, and left her in the hands of those she betrayed. It was justice, it was poetic. For Garrett to tear into her would be a destruction of Garrett himself. No thanks.

I think Gamall mentioned in one of the cutscenes that she had lived for centuries, so when she got stripped of her powers I'm sure she would have died pretty swiftly. It's the same type of climax as the other two games, you set a trap for the antagonist which ends up killing them. Not sure what the fuss is about here in all honesty.
And to the comments about torturing Gamall... did you really play a Thief game with the intention of torturing stuff? Thats completely out of character....

I believe the project being referred to is "the cabal", it certainly wasn't a flop, some of the missions have been released already :)

I thought all of the cabal project was released? Four missions right or is there more?:angel::thumb:

I believe it's all been released. It said it was originally supposed to be 3 missions. I haven't checked all the threads, so I'm not sure.
