There is an option to post a poll when you start a new thread. I've offered the WIP for experiment before. Go and try it out in that. Start a new thread, go down below the text box and you'll see 'Additional Options' where there's a box entitled 'Post a Poll'. Tick that and after you've posted you'll get the option to do the poll and be taken to the relevant page.

No need to create another thread. One can always add a poll to their thread by selecting the "Thread Tools" menu, located at the upper-right corner of the OP...:)

Yes, there's always that too. I do think the poll options are a bit confusing though.
But if we're going to keep ZB happy, it needs to be done from the start. :D

I didn't know about the thread tools option :grr:
What happened was I was (ZB won't approve of that English either) playing around trying to work out how to start a poll, when I ticked the poll option box in my initial post nothing happened, so I thought I would start the thread and see if the poll option appeared once I had posted, but it didn't. I intended to delete the thread immediately and try again, but marbleman being quick off the draw posted a reply to the thread preventing me from deleting the thread and starting again. :laff:
Next time I'll get it right.
btw I d/l NewDarkloarder, and yes it looks nice and crisp, but I'm not sure about the box for typing in your personal comments, it's not a very big box where you can see everything you have written at one glance, maybe I haven't quite got the hang of it yet, along with starting polls. :)

So experiment! I have to say that I did do some experimenting before I posted and I'm not altogether sure the option was working properly. But I'm not going to try again now. Maybe tomorrow. :)
