Yeah, kinda, but it's a shooter not a sneaker, and the AI behaves realistically enough, better then 99% of games. If you like the idea of being hunted on a tropical island I would get it, it's cheap anyway.

I understand that, but the cloak seemed to wear off so fast that it was hard to do. on top of that, there were usually a group of soliders, not one. as soon as I'd fire a shot the cloak would go off and the other 6 soldiers I didn't shot in the face gang raped me :eek: but after awhile I got used to it. It was pretty fun to hide in the bushes or in a building, cloak, then come out and (as you said) walk up to someone and shoot them in the face.
But its all moot. the demo was great, and as it went on and I got more used to it, I died much less. I probably died 10 times through the first half of the game, and only once from there on.

The trick is to turn off the cloak, shoot, then quickly turn it back on. It's very abuseable and quite easy to do even if you use the middle mouse button for suit controls.

I tried to avoid the cloak early on to make things more challenging, but in the end I found the game more fun with the cloak. It was not too easy and not frustratingly hard either.

Probably a little too late with my response.
Haven't played FEAR but I heard it was pretty decent, overall my suggestion would be the Witcher. However you'll probably only like it if you like CRPGs, it's like NWN with timed attacks(semi-realtime I guess) I loved it, in fact I'm plaing it currently and with Enhanced Edition already out it's another reason to get it.
