When I started playing, I was very dissapointed with DEX. Since when do Terrorists come to an Island with an Anti-Terririst HQ on it?? That pissed me off, but I got over it. Then that tanker mission, well it made me think. I hate thinking, BTW, so I didn't lke that very much.
I liked the Broadcast the Signal mission tho, cause I got to shoot my own homeboys, the poor guys. And I loved VersaLife! Some people say it challenged you not to go in shooting, but it challenged me to kill with care! I released the grays, the bum, the greasels outsitde the lab, and all hell broke loose! "Get back in your cage!"- the doc said, right before being accidentally shot by a MiB. HAHAha! Needless to say, I plugged em all in the end!
Now, I havent finished the game yet, but it's aiight. Tho ya can't play Thief style, no. In Thief, you could blackjack a 3 guys walking in a row, single file. But here, you shoot one guy silently, the whole base knows. Yet you shoot a GEP round, and everyone's OK with it! And the shadows don't hide you! Ahh, thank terrorists for my 1st flame thrower..

I liked the first 15 missions. After that, everything sucked.

(spoilerz ahead =)
For me, the most scary mission was when you have to derstoy the ship (and it starts to explode when you're on it! I thought my heart would jump out, so streessed I was...)
And, mission I got annoyed with: search for Lebedev's plane in hangar. I spent there a couple of hours trying to get into the damn building. At last I figured out that you have to pass these stupid blast doors on the other side....
Mission I didn't have much time to feel/explore: HongKong (unfortunately). There were guests in my home ant I was showing them the game. They were helping me, reading the walkthrough aloud... and I was just mechanically following their advices.
When we were in Lucky money, funny thing occured. There was a group of russian marines, and when we came close, they started talking "Where's Eugeniy? Where's Eugeniy?" Should I say that one my friend's name was Eugeniy... and we all were down laughing 8)
Gas station! Mission I just hate. I re-played it dozens of times - even with cheats, I was failing every time. Finally when I rescued the damn girl, I already wanted to kill her myself - so tired I was. =)
Missions I liked most: Battery Park, hell's Kitchen (the first time), VersaLife, MJ12 facility (but I don't know if I can pass through it without cheats! :), Paris cathedral (I was so touched when I reached the little room with WiB and read the diary of MJ12 adept at the datacube...)

I liked the Gas Station mission. I got through it on my first go - it was nice and small, straight to the point. But then I was a master sniper, so the patrolling commandos and dogs didn't pose much of a threat. I also had an assault rifle with the 20mm explosive ammo, so the MiB chappy didn't stand much of a chance either.
Apart from that, the MJ12 HQ in the VersaLife place was a good mission - some excellent level design there. But then all missions were excellently designed. Still haven't finished the game yet, but I don't reckon that'll take too long now...

Top 3 Missions:
1) Sub Base/ Ocean Lab (SS2 revisited; simply amazing)
2) Cathedral (truckloads of atmosphere; great architecture; roof climbing/jumping)
3) VersaLife, first time (the ultimate cyberpunkish feel; plenty of air ducts)
Bottom 3 Missions:
The first three missions didn´t really do anything for me (the first time through, at least).
From the 747 on I was hooked. The Hong Kong missions made the addiction quite impossible to shake, and the rest of the game was just superb.

I agree with bujin, I loved the gas station mission. The first time I played, I didn't really like the DuClare Mansion "mission" but with each successive play it becomes better and better, I just love the atmosphere it creates with Icarus breathing down your neck: "What are you looking for?..."
Apart from those, most of the others were all top quality. They all showed plenty of variety and were brilliantly designed. I found that the Ocean Lab thing and possibly Versalife were the only poor and/or dull parts of an otherwise excellent game.

My favourite mission is definetlyHongkong, but it does get a bit annoying when you wander down the wrong allley and have to load up, and then turn back and have to load up again. Really annoyed me that. That game is so dam good, is there a sequel anytime soon?

Hah, now I'm up to the Paris missions, and of course I killed all in the streets.sure is a pain thought, with the Commandos. They don't succumb to fire Ahh! And I discovered you can sort-of sneak in the shadows, but it sucks without a visibility gem.

I don't know. I think I will have to play over the Ocean Lab missions again. I didn't find them all that impressive, simply because they weren't very big! My favorite levels include the MJ12 Facility, the bowels of Area51, and Hell's Kitchen in NY, just because of the sheer amount of NPC interaction and multiple *fun* routes.
