Jason, you played COD4 for the multiplayer, although I agree with your singleplayer gripes, I still enjoyed it.
And Brothers in Arms is just as formulaic as Medal of Honor just in a different way. Far more realistic, but the COVER then FLANK combat system gets tired pretty quick...for me at least.

That's not the point. The point is it has an actual story worth paying attention to because it's more of a character drama.

super fucking subversive story
You've said this a few times; are you being sarcastic?
The story is satirical, but is it really that subversive? I mean, there's that creepy level in the gunship, but it never goes from fun to upsetting. They're careful not to cross that line.

Stop playing Medal of Honour and start playing Brothers in Arms.
I have played BIA:Road to Hill 30 and it was fun but by the end I just didn't care anymore, don't think I'll replay it either.
And yes I know I got CoD4 confused with it's earlier games.
CoD4 was alright but still nothing groundbreaking(I did play the demo) It wasn't something I was willing to spend time on to pass. The rocket launcher was fun but that's about it, the endless spawns were quite annoying.
The only WWII game I enjoyed was Company of Heroes(briefly) but that's an RTS.

A sarcastic reference to Harvey Smith and Blacksite, if I'm not mistaken.

If realistically portraying how people behave- in this case, a gunship crew, who are notoriously detached, desensitized and cynical- is "super fucking subversive" then what the fuck is wrong with society that we have to sugarcoat everything?
Also, vH brought up something that I should address as long as I'm here- Harvey Smith's idea of "super fucking subversive" is basically "let's repeat a message that has been hammered into our heads for the last 8 years and that a growing majority of us have begun to agree with." If he had made that game in 2004 or 2005, his shitty game might've gotten more attention. But even the message couldn't save the game because the message was outdated.

Yeah, you're right, I had forgotten about that. Sorry, Jason Moyer.
