Apologies for bumping, but I was referred to this thread in order to introduce myself a bit more.
Anyway, my real name is Jake, 20 year old male living in New Zealand currently searching for work. I discovered Thief during a random wikipedia/youtube search one day and decided to order a complete collection of the original Thief trilogy on PC, and haven't regretted it since. While I have been a player of the Thief series for over a year now, I've enjoyed the main games and many of the fan missions that this community has to offer. Not looking forward to Thief 4 or the Thief reboot as much however, due to me not liking many of the decisions Eidos Montreal/Square-Enix have made towards the development of the game itself.
Besides Thief, I also play many other video game franchises, such as Tomb Raider, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Devil May Cry and Prince of Persia to name a few. So yeah, I'm a pretty big gamer overall:p

Welcome to the forum, Jake, and welcome to the world of Thief. No need to apologize for the bump. This forum is a bit different than most. We'd rather you bumped an old thread than started a new one. Bumping old threads brings them back to the community's attention and that's a good thing. I'm sure you will find lots in common with many of the members here. Enjoy your stay and I hope it's a long one.

Hi, My real name is Brian, and live in sleepy old Amersham in Buckinghamshire, UK.
I've been programming (ok..messing) with computers since I was 11, and seeing as I'm now 42..should probably find another line of work! I am (unsurprisingly) amicably separated with two lovely children, and have been playing thief, and the fan missions ever since thief came out as a demo on the front of a magazine.
P.S. I'm not actually bald, I just thought it sounded funny.

Welcome to the forum, Brian! Though apparently you've been here for six or seven years. But we're glad you decided to introduce yourself. Are your children Thief players as well?

Hello. My real name is Colin (not all Irish blokes are called that BTW) and I'm addicted to parentheses and Thief! I live in the fair County of Clare, Republic of Troika(Ireland) with my darling wife and cherished young son. I'm about forty-five years old or so and have in fact apparently settled down immovably.
I am a man of a rugged countenance, never lighted by a smile; cold, scanty and embarrassed in discourse; backward in sentiment; lean, long, dusty, dreary, and yet somehow lovable.
I draw and paint (digitally and conventionally) for fun nowadays and not for profit. I used to work in animation and worked on some 80's classics(????) such as Land Before Time and All Dogs Go to Kennels, HEAVEN, sorry Heaven. I do have a regular job now, not at all arty, just to keep the wolf from my door but it's just a job.
I've been playing Thief since 2000, when I chanced upon a copy in a local bookstore (on one of those software carousels, I was looking for Landscape Gardening programs). The rest is history. Thief is as dear to me as my childhood copy of Robinson Crusoe and my copy of The Minds Eye radio production of The Hobbit (Stride on, stride on! Gail Chugg is Gollum!)

And did you think this thread would go on for 11 years, uncadonego? :)

In my heart, I would love to reveal myself...yet, I think it best to wait for a future time.
I have to say, I truly love this community, and everything it stands for...and I know the best is yet to come.
