hi my name is Don, 52 years old single and unemployed. I discovered Thief via the demo disc that came with a PC gaming magazine. However for some reason when TDP hit the stores I hesitated and the store had completely sold out of it :mad: Started with Metal Age, then Deadly Shadows, and finally got around to playing Dark Project/Gold in 2006. Discovered this forum around 2006-2007 (the first FM I ever played was Eshaktar's "Key Hunt") and have been hooked ever since. My thanks goes out to all of you FM authors for providing so much enjoyment, for so many years :thumb:

My name is André, I was born in 1996 and am about to go to college (hopefully). I live in a small village in Portugal about an hour away from Lisbon.

I first heard about Thief around 2008 (when we first got internet at our house) on YouTube in a video called "Creepiest Game Moments". Back then I didn't think much of it because I didn't know it was a stealth game nor what it was about. Sometime later a friend and I traded some games and the one I got was Metal Gear Solid which first introduced me to stealth games. After playing MGS I went on to play other stealth games or games that featured stealth in some way or another, such as the Deus Ex series and Batman: Arkham Asylum. Then in 2012 while I was waiting for my birthday to get Dishonored I decided to play one of the games that inspired it, which lead me to download and play Thief Gold (this was when I used to pirate PC games). I beat it, loved it and went on to play Dishonored. It was only in early 2013 that I bought the Thief Bundle on Steam (my first ever Steam purchase!) and beat Thief 2 and Deadly Shadows, I loved both those games. I now also own a physical bundle of all three games.

I first discovered this forum when searching for patches to make the games work properly and now come here from time to time to see what's going on.

My favorite OM is probably "Life of the Party", but it's hard to tell since like a lot of them. I'm not much of an FM player and I've only beaten one, which was "A Better Tomorrow".

Thing is whenever I feel like playing Thief I just play the original three games. After that I just go play something else since I already had my Thief fix. I might try some FM's eventually, but I don't see myself getting tired of the original trilogy any time soon.
