Well, I won't say welcome to the forum since you've been here a long time, but welcome out of the shadows. It's always nice to see new posts here. I think you sound like many of the members here, both in your background and your take on Thief. Yep, it's great to see this community still turning out numerous missions 17 years after Thief's initial release. And you're right, no game does stealth as well as Thief.

Let's see who it is that likes Thief. Let me start. Of course, you don't have to reply if you're not comfortable. Just post like me.
My real name is Don Adam. Married. 3 children. 39 years old. Favourite mission:LOTP
And WHO ARE YOU?:)
Ehm, I'm new in this forum, if you can , apologize me for eventual mistakes (like wrong way to answer a thread, or similia).and for my english!
Anyway i'm 38 , i'm playing thief since the first episode.
It Is, in some way deeply connected with me and with my music. I'm not a pro gamer.Just i played only that game, even i finished the all saga, i restart it for ispiring my self, creating an infite musical\philosophical concept, based on a connecton between the "thief dark world" and the legend of AGARTHIA, a secret city in the center of heart. When i discover TTLG i was really happy inside my self. In someway i feel that people here, re- created a whole world. You can't imagine the kind of joy, to notice that there's such beautiful creative people, that create more stuff on the only game i play since i stop play on amiga (i luved commodore a lot!!!). Any way the best regards to all the Creators here. You made my days... :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:
thanks!!!!!
P.S. : My favourite mission?! Original thief II : LOTP me too....
for what concerns Thief 2 FMs : ehm..... i can say, all? :cheeky:

Thou art I, and I am thou.
..Nah, I'm actually a shameless necromancer.
...Nah, I'm a boring person.
Pseudo-fan of the Thief games, "pseudo" because I've never actually played them. Closest I've gotten is hearing about them from a relative (which is when I first heard of these games and then forgot about them until I don't even know when) and Youtube videos. Still, I've been enjoying The Dark Mod, because it's free quite good, hoping to get into the original games/fan missions, but I'm afraid that the attempt to play them will set my computer on fire. Honestly surprised that I was even able to install TDM.
I also review things, and shall be reviewing missions.
I also like mystery novels. One day, I'll combine Thief and mysteries...

Welcome!
I wouldn't be frightened of Thief burning up your computer - if you can play TDM, you'll be abe to play Thief. I enjoyed your Tears of St Lucia review so I won't mind if you just carry on playing and reviewing them. :)

Never underestimate my own incompetence. :p But noted, will look into them at some point.
I've done a few reviews on The Dark Mod forums, so I'll post them here at some point.

Welcome to the forum, The Dark One!

Well... I'd prefer not to reveal my name.
Anyway, a few of you may have seen me around, on this forum. I've
mostly been lurking around, here and there.
I only discovered the Thief series last year, but never actually got around to playing the games until March/April. And boy, am I glad I did! It's now my favourite game series of all time (no joke). I haven't played any other game since

I've been experimenting with different gameplay styles (mainly things like ironman and ghosting) and it's really fun! Plus, the fan missions have been keeping me busy, as of late.
That's all I've really got to say about myself.

Welcome, and thanks for the photo...before I clicked, I was concerned it could have been a NuThief pic.
A.J on 4/11/2016 at 20:21
Oh god no. Why would I do such a thing?

You would think it universally ghastly...Yet, one would be shocked at some people's pleasures.
