Holy crap dude, post some warnings! After I looked at that picture a pair of zombies popped up behind me! Now I have to explain to the police where the blood came from!

Incantation. It's all Chthulhu to me.

  Okay, what the heck does that mean? I've seen this kind of text before, but never understood it. Does it actually mean something? Is it something from another game?
jtr7 on 14/9/2007 at 19:12
Nah. It's just gibberish in the style of Lovecraft. If anybody HAS found a translation, I'd love to know about it!
I was disappointed to find none of it matches any of the Greek symbols on the illustration....

Book of Ash...
Bwahahahahahaha
This GOTTA be a reference to Evil Dead :ebil:
jtr7 on 14/9/2007 at 20:08
Not intentionally.

Actually, just to set the record straight, when I came up with the Book of Ash, I was indeed just paying homage to "evil" works like the Necronomicon. The "Ash" referred to fire, burning, etc.
There was never any intentional reference to the Evil Dead movies, but the more I think about it, the more I must have done that subconsciously (been referring to the character Ash) and never even realized it until you guys pointed it out. One of those weird coincidences that may very well be more than that. Wacky.

However, theres one anomaly in that picture... What exactly is the fifth slot at the top for? It bears no symbols... Perhaps a focal point like in alchemy?
jtr7 on 15/9/2007 at 03:44
The one at the top has a symbol above it--and it's the opposite of the dark symbol at the bottom. Do you mean the one in the middle?
RavynousHunter on 15/9/2007 at 07:29
Oh yeah, lol, missed that lil detail. And notice that the focal point is the crotch?
jtr7 on 15/9/2007 at 08:17
Yeah. Shakras and other mystical names of the body's energy centers gotta include...
that.
:cheeky:
How about this?
