Hi guys:
Could anybody knows who is the author of those incredible games?
My respects, cause (for me) thief 1 and 2 are a master fine work!, Play Thief 1 and 2 is the most exciting games I had been played, no one game compare with them, dont you think?
Thanks

Although various people contributed to the dialogue and main story of the series, the majority of all 3 Thief games comes from the mind of Teri Brosius. She also did the voice of Viktoria, and her husband, Eric Brosius, did audio for the series.

Wow!, A woman! (Teri Brosius) is the author! and she did the voice of Viktoria.... I imagine the Voice of Garret comes from her husband, What a sensual voice he has!:ebil:
Thanks for the information!:thumb:

Actually, Garrett is voiced by Stephen Russell. He also does one of the Hammerite voices, Benny, and Karras.

Um, what?
I was going to sit and explain how wrong that claim is, but I suddenly can't be bothered.

Quite right, not sure what I was thinking :\. I went back and re-checked, and she mostly dealt with the cutscene screenplays in the first two games. Don't know why I thought she was the major writer :\.
EDIT - Oh, probably because she was the primary writer of Thief III, and I haven't played TMA in over 2 years, and TDP... uh... since TMA came out :D. Honestly though, come to think of it, I can't even remember the main writers of the original games.

From what I recall off the top of my head, Terri Brosius and Laura Baldwin are usually credited with most of the writing... primarily dialogue and readables, I think. When it comes down to the overall design / writing, that's pretty much a team effort with steering from the writers and the project lead, but with significant input from the rest of the design team etc.
If you REALLY want to get down to it, Ken Levine came up with the initial concept and writing for TDP, and you could argue that it all flowed from there. But of course that's not really fair to the rest of the people who tweaked and rewrote and polished and implemented.
Bottom line is that the Thief games, as nearly all games tend to be (unless you're Derek Smart, Supergenius), are reflections of a directed team effort.

Oh no doubt. I didn't mean to imply anything otherwise. I just simply had it in my head (incorrectly) that she was the main writer for the trilogy.

Yeah. It's just difficult to know what TigerHawkScorpio is actually asking, though... I inferred from the initial post that the question was more about "who came up with the ideas etc for the games" instead of "who did the writing" -- although I'm still not sure about that.
"Author" is a tricky word sometimes.
