(
http://www.gametrailers.com/game/5434.html) "They", apparently.
Another game I managed to miss completely on last year's GC, and another FPS +1, 1 in this case being MYSTERY! Or so the devs say. Which sounds really uninspired to be honest(Especially since the single player campaign is supposed to be 12 hours long, how much mystery can you get into that?), but hey, it's better than nothing. The Phantoms look a lot like these dudes from Spirits Within though.
There's also Pimp Your Weapon, but who cares.
Oh and for all you slav lovers the devs are polish

I worked on that game briefly a few months ago, and it didn't look promising, mostly because there was no vision behind it, and they (the team, I mean) were using their in-house engine, which sucked (more precisely, the tools for it did). There was also some very unhealthy team chemistry going on, but I've heard they've had a major reorganization since then. Also, CD Projekt bought them, and apparently pumped some money into the project.
I'm not supposed to give any details, NDAs being what they are, but their approach to "mystery" can be safely summarized as "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot".

You admit to being a dev just like that? Sorry, but now I want to hear everything.

"There was also some very unhealthy team chemistry"
One of the programmers was a female and the rest of the geeks fought for her attention?
Or in the literal sense that they all smelled rancid?

I'm pretty sure I have some unhealthy chemistry going on today, since I ended up not having enough time for a shower last night. I feel incredibly greasy, and I'm very much embarrassed that I'm out in public today.

Countrary to popular perception, most devs nowadays are married men who don't play games all that much.

Perhaps I should have added a  or a :joke: .
Zillameth on 7/10/2008 at 21:18
Oh, I know you were joking, but there's more than just you and me on this forum, and you wouldn't believe what kind of misconceptions with regard to GameDev are being taken seriously sometimes.
Besides, it was a very good question, really. I mean, their secretary spoke Spanish. How can you not have a weak spot for a girl who speaks Spanish?

TESTERS, on the other hand...

Buggo, Relic's PR representative(Who very cleverly is also female) once did an interview with Dark Crusade testers. It was literally embarrasing to watch.
