you forgot to add dront "plot" to the picture
also gort i would love to see the pagan npc from first part of rotb series one the one on the roof top he wanted the juice, and the girl i took the necklace accessed from manhole, she was so hostile reminded me of an ex i had, some of those npc's were amazing i hope you bring some of them back, and if possible somehow add the golden child in future fan mission, kinda shocked not one thing about him in thief 3

With almost 2 decades of experience in playing Thief and it's fan missions, I must say, as challenging as GORT's Rebellion Of The Builder series are, I actually enjoyed them! Although it did take me 2 attempts to finally complete them both, they were over all pretty good. I think GORT is a great mission designer. But having said that, I would recommend a 3rd ROTB but with a more doable toned-down version all-the-while still keeping it challenging but at the same time, fair and not nearly impossible. Because if it's too hard, many may give up and that would be unfortunate because GORT's talent is not one to be wasted, he's actually a brilliant creator and has great potential to make amazing fan missions. If you are in the mood and have the time to create another ROTB, I say, Go For It GORT!! The TAFFER community will enjoy it I'm sure! :)

Keep going as long as it makes you happy. We'll keep playing whatever FM's you make.

Yes - if you keep the original visual and ambient style, and no - if you want to do it in the style of your last big campaign.

Even TROB2 took years to develop, so a hypothetical part 3 can only be expected in the late ´20ies.
Don´t forget we all get older, everyone has a private life, family plannings or a partner. :erm:
For some people Dromed can take up a large part of their lives. At the end of the day, many people spend all their free time on video games, TV, football, alcohol, fishing, collecting and other things that can hardly be called important.
I think fm creation is just like a hobby, just on a higher level. Other hobbies are almost always selfish, only you enjoy yourself. When you make fms, you make a lot of people happy.
In terms of age, many great designs were made by people 40-50+
More older age guarantees stability and efficiency. People who have found themselves in life for a long time, have a good job, family and life experience, can organize their work time much better, discipline themselves, they are better aware of whether they can finish the work or not.
Young people are always unreliable, they don't have a family, they don't have a job, they're in college, they're broken hearted with love, they don't know what's going to happen to them tomorrow.
All that young people have is chaotic excesses of energy and ambitions, unfortunately this is not enough.

If I can be honest here and since you asked, let me try to figure out what bothers me most about your FMs.
Before I try describing it, I want to emphasize that I have a lot of respect for everyone who creates FMs, you included,
and that I'm very grateful that we can play these missions for free! I'm very aware that nobody forces us to play them and everyone has it's own style and that is ok. The amount of work that goes into a campaign like that is insane!
Your goal is to make people play them and to enjoy them, right?
So that's why there are a few things that confuse me.
A big No-Go for me personally: Your missions are huge - but feel completly empty! (also of any fun gaming experience) (TROTB2, M2 is an exception - good fighting mission!)
You put so much effort into building missions, but you don't build them enjoyable for the player. It truly feels intentional.
Bigger is not always better when detail and atmosphere is getting neglected. Add more and nicer furniture for example, paintings, add more loot, add an atmospheric lore through readables, add some mystery.
Another thing is, you often create impossible riddles that have no logical connection to the story and are impossible to solve without looking up the solution in this forum. Don't even ask me for examples.
It wouldn't hurt to add i-n-t-e-r-e-s-t-i-n-g readables that build up a nice atmosphere and at the same time give subtle hints.
Something I noticed is, in many situations I was forced to run back through the whooole level to a previous location just to get an object or to trigger something. In your FMs it feels like a punishment.
Also the lack of hints in readables makes it necessary to go back and forth the level and scan every inch of the level several times. At the end you get so frustrated and either - look up the solution (cheat) or skip the mission.
Is this intended by you?
This is really not fun anymore. And then in another place, you place a secret in plain sight, just around a corner - it felt like a provocation and I really wanted to curse.
Another almost-troll-case was for instance the only two totally unusual-looking flowers marking the entrance and exit to the "secret" tunnel in the spider cave. Come on!
It felt like your added them because someone complained they were not visible at all - but that's just a guess.
I don't know man. Some people find great joy in trolling others and making them upset and frustrated. I was wondering if this was your intention, because at times it felt like it.
I guess what I want to say with all this is, we all love hard missions! We all love huge missions!
But please make them a little bit more enjoyable.
Edit: Everything I write here is obviously just my own opinion and based on my own experience.

No, not
all of us.
If some author wants to create a hard mission - okay, that's his or her personal choice. If some players, or even a lot of them, like hard missions - no problem.
But do
not make it sound as if we all like this or that, for if you do, you exclude people who don't share your point of view. Don't do that - we're there as well, like you are, and we probably do not want to be excluded like that.
This point of criticism also applies to other people than Karras35, by the way.
