In light of this "shitmyselfalot" experience, I went ahead and remade the zombie sounds for people who don't like zombies.
Anyone inflicting such an idiotic mod as this on an otherwise serious playthrough of Thief deserves a 50-pound troutslap to the head.

Hey none of us should ever give up!
My post was directed heavily towards The Juggler to shed some light into his hopeless situation.

Does that make them less scary?
If I ever encountered one of those ingame I would probably have a heart attack.

Oh, I know. I was just generalizing.

It might have to do with the inspiring locations, but I think that the scares are part of the reason I play them. It is very rewarding to finish such a mission and the relief of returning to a normal mission with living guards afterwards cannot be described with words.
You hit the nail on the head there.
Frankly, what I find is best for zombie missions is to make sure you know everything. Memorise the layout of the place, watch the zombies patrolling from somewhere safe, examine sleeping ones until you're desensitised (SP?) to their ugliness, and then you'll be ready to take them on. Being surprised by a zombie is the worst thing ever :P

Yeah, but playing with a Zombie is most fun!:laff:
:erg:
Ah... just keep taffin'.

Hehe, yes. Repeatedly blackjacking a zombie from behind looks and sounds extremely hilarious.

I remember my first play through of Thief. My first encounter with the Zombies didn't really bother me, Apart from the three in that room in the mines when one stood up right in front of me. Some good fizzy drink ended up spilled and decorating my keyboard then. Fast forward to the haunts however and well, I still get nervous when you hear them laughing away in the distance.
Lol! :cheeky: :laff:

Oh goodie, another "I use a special font because I'm a special snowflake!" member.
I'll fire up the grill.
EDIT: And on top of that, a ninja post deleter as well. Yeesh.
