Well I'm going to interpret the question as a chance to explain why I prefer Thieves in games when I have a chocie, and I explain thusly;
Basically I can use my brain more than my brawn when playing as a thief, taking time and planning everything meticulously, having backup plans for when things go wrong. The more you plan, the more risk is minimised.
And then it's so much more exciting when you get into trouble. I preffer being nimble and quick to avoid getting hit in the first place. (Which is why I always fly the A-Wing in "X-Wing Alliance" when I have the choice)

Hmm... you're a strange case LittleTaffer... an Elder to look for, according to you regdate ... yet newbie by postcount. ;)
Also I haven't heard about Clan Foofie for AGES.
That I am, sir. Aye, it's been about 4 years since I last stepped into the Thief forums. Back then, I stayed around quite a bit but found that I couldn't stay because I'd still not finished the game (stupid zombies). So i took a 4 year hiatus and now I'm back.
It's really good to see some old faces though..my god, it's been YEARS and they're still around!
Clan Foofie, I miss that too. Dug up some old threads, oh, the days!...if anyone remembers one forum member called Sneaksie Taffersie, haha I'll never forget that username in my life!
But yes, I am digressing.

I'd have to agree with Domarius about the thief class and such. Taking no damage at all is better than taking tons. But for me, it goes even to the physical aspect. I'm built like a thief, thin, tall, quiet, and pretty fast. I would make a pretty good thief, in my opinion. Not to mention I'm a klepto, but I give back whatever I steal.
As for my alter-ego... don't get me started on that. You'll have to read my book when it comes out. I'm hoping maybe even this year or the next.
A question for you, LittleTaffer. What exactly is Clan Foofie? I used to be in a big clan scene a few years ago, and the name has sparked my interest. By the way, I like your writing style. Quite unique.

How very interesting... I like this concept. Though that's a bit less serious than the clans I'm used to.

Larcenio Haul was the more serious counterpart to Foofie. However it should be noted that 'more serious' is a relative term.

I'm sure. Anything related to a name like Foofie has to be at least distantly fluffy.

I read the thread topic correctly, I just couldn't apply it to the way I see Garrett. Garrett IS the alter-ego of myself, that lets me act out behaviors I wouldn't, shouldn't, couldn't do in real life (unless, of course, it was out of absolute necessity). So when I said "it allows me to be me," I meant it the "me" that is unhindered. Don't get me drunk.:p

once two great clans stood over the forum. They were Clans Foofie and Larcenio Haul. I think they just fell apart.
Don't forget about that obscure Clan No Bow Upgrade AKA Clan n00b, as GBM nicknamed it (I hope my memory serves me well). ;)

I understand & agree, jtr. I feel the same way (except for the fact that mine is, of course, a female alter-ego).
What happens when you get drunk?? Can I watch? :ebil:
