Most other forums I've lurked have been either cringeworthy hugboxes or populated by assholes who think they're far cleverer and funnier than they really are. Sure, TTLG has thief gen and the occasional moron in commchat, but other than that, you guys always have something genuinely funny or interesting to say.
Also, BH runs a sweet minecraft server.

Because... I'm interested in what the people who are still here, think about things. Mostly new games that come out, which fall under the general purview of TTLG discussion.
I'm not really a "regular", though I've been registered for 7 years, and lurked for a few before that. I tend to seek out discussion of whatever I'm currently playing, and don't pay much attention to anything else.
I'm back around these parts because of DX:HR. It's interesting; the game is getting thrashed much more harshly over at its own official board than it is here. I think that TTLGers as a whole (those who remain) have sort of "curbed their idealism", as we've collectively seen our kind of gaming reach a nadir around 2003 or so, and thankfully, it seems to be crawling and scratching its way back up towards some semblance of quality.
So, I still tune in from time to time. It's an angsty and idiosyncratic sort of place, but internet forums are kinda like bars. You find ones where you feel comfortable, and then you hang out there from time to time.

Semi-seriously, though: much of it is habit and hoping for good threads/posts, and I like quite a few posters here for their posting style and ideas/opinions, even if I often get exasperated at TTLG's bouts of meta-dickheadery.

Although I am not as optimistic as the OP; it seems traffic, and fan mission production is still winding down. And unfortunately, I am sort of contributing to that problem by not having enough free time to edit as much as I'd like to. :( Still, gotta work with what you have...
