I lurked for years for System shock news and tweaks. I finally registered at one point and I"m sure my first post was screaming at ZylonBane for being rude to a new poster for reasons I thought at the time were for the purpose of measuring penises. And then continued to rail about how smug everybody was despite that this site was dead, and nobody had the right to be so smug.... (at the time the main page hadn't been updated in over a year)
.... soooooo yeah *sheepish* Now I know what ZB has contributed to the SShockers in the community, and that this whole site is all the forums.
I don't have anybody making a birthday thread for me yet, but I keep coming because the odd friendship I've made and the good debates are worth it. that.. and the gaming.

Not entirely sure it is anything deeper than, "I like it here". Why does it have to be anymore complicated than that?

Like others have said, I came here for Thief and ended up staying. I realized early on that the people who make up TTLG are special; a cut above the rest. I can't count the times I've asked for and received help & advice, and not just in gaming but in other (RL) matters which were important to me. I trust my fellow TTLG'ers and afaic, that's really saying something. You guys have seen me through the worst time of my life, have been patient with my sometimes idiotic questions, have been veritable fonts of information, and have made me laugh countless number of times when laughter was what I needed most.

Nope, I don't think I have. I'm not actually worried about it, I don't know if I post often enough to warrant being recognized as a "personality" around here anyway. Not that I'm sure I want to be. I think i stick around in the hopes that one day I'll have something substantial to contribute to the community. Like my Beta Grove idea if I ever get around to starting. *fingers crossed* Once my Reasearch at university is finished.
