I have no idea.
But probably because I've spent already more than a third of my life visiting this forum every few days, I don't need to ask myself this question. Or try to come up with more elaborate reasons than others already posted.
Still, thinking about this time span gave me several memories of events I've shared here. Not necessarily events of my life, but the world and time itself.

People on other forums are too sensitive (too fucking dumb to understand humor, wit and satire).
The nostalgic feel of TTLG forums makes me feel like going home to mom's cooking.
I've almost pissed my pants laughing at some of the comments left on these forums.
I can write stupid shit here and no one bothers to read it, and so I don't get banned.
The white background makes it easier for me to read these forums vs. others.
No other game series has held my attention as long as the Thief series.
I like the quality of the abuse dished out around here.
I get banned a lot from other forums.
I landed here because of Thief.
I have nothing better to do.
I drink a lot.
